I thought Ironman was
supposed
to be a bit dry and bland, but then, I'm by no means an expert on the subject.

That doesn't change my view on the matter. All he comes across as, from my limited knowledge, is a bit self-centred, but he has no real personality. I hate characters like that, they're not even
characters
.

Yeah, Norton was a great Bruce Banner imo.
Norton's just a great actor. I really can't imagine in my mind's eye the
new Hulk
as the Hulk. :(
Honestly I wouldnt be suprised if we dont see much of Banner in the Avengers, as compared to the others, considering there are going to be like 6 major actors involved, plus a good portion of his on screen time hes probobly gonna be big and green.
I agree about Norton though, hes awesome.
Also like OverZealous said Tony Stark is kinda supposed to be a douchbag, they left out some of what gives his characture depth, the alchohalism and such.

Just saw the new Pirates movie, it was actualy quite good.
WARNING HERE THERE BE SPOILERS
After seeing the trailer talking about zombies and mermaids, I was a bit worried that this movie would be too cartoony and over the top, but I was pleasently suprised. the movie did of course have the classic Pirates of the Carribean humor, but it had its darker moments as well, one scene comes to mind where a sailor is dragged under water and ripped to shreds my mermaids.
The gentleman who played Blackbeard did a good job as well, although he didnt quite give that "evil" vibe that the villain was potrayed as having, although that was matched very well by his actions (once again strong writing makes up where acting falls short).
This movie proved above all els that Johnny Depp carried the original trilogy. Not to say that the supporting actors werent great as well, Jeffeory Rush stood out particularly in this film as Barbosa, the characture started out a but weakly but ended strong.
All in all I think this was a great addition to the franchise, and I can only hope they do more like this.

Anybody see The Hangover 2 yet?
No, but I hear it wasn't the best. I'm going to see Pirates on Saturday, then hopefully Kung Fu Panda 2.

Saw Priest last weekend. I thought it was pretty decent. I liked the idea of more bat-like vampires in it.
:O For me, it was
almost
as painful to watch as
I Am Number Four
... :( The dialogue was awful, and I want to hunt down that script writer to make him/her pay. Not to mention the cliché-storm.X-Men first class looks it may have some inconsistancies within it to me.
You mean like
X Men Origins: Wolverine
? :P Inconsistencies are a given; I just hope that it's better than
Last Stand
and
Wolverine
were...

So, I just watched Pirates of the Caribbean (the new one).
I enjoyed some parts, and did not enjoy others, but overall I thought it was a good movie.
I liked how both the missionary and the boy survived. I really, really hate it when kids die in movies. Ian McShane had a sexy voice as Tai Lung, let's get that out of the way. He did not as Blackbeard however. /annoyed
Overall, though, I enjoyed it.

What boy? I can't specifically remember a kid in it...
I've pretty much said everything in one of the L&RP Q&As about the film for me, so I'll just condense it here. It was better, imo, than Dead Man's Chest and World's End, but not as good as the Curse of the Black Pearl. I liked the action, Cruz' character (I had thought I wouldn't), and the fact that it reflected that times had, for the most part, changed.
But I hated what has to be one of the most superficial love plots of any film I've ever seen.

I saw BloodRayne on the tv last night. Worst $%^&ing movie I've ever seen. Everything was horrible.
