Theres nothing like The Barrens.. i Still remember my first visit there with my first ever char... that was years ago... at lvl 60 we were still gathering stuff to open the AQ gates... but back to Barrens... That was the first glimpse of actual travelling when distances were long... lvl 11 had to be mindfull about not taking shortcuts since higher lvl mobs could easily kill you.. not like these days when 3 lvls higher mob is easy kill. No mount... just me and my warrior... long roads.. oh hell... Its true that time has a way of altering the experience. Back in the day while exploring everyting for the first time it was magical.. i wish i could get that feeling back into the game again... *sniff*Beanbag<Twisting Nether - EU>
Western Plaguelands will always hold a special place in my heart. Growing up as a young undead mage, I made the briefly-fatal mistake, which I'm sure others have made, of wandering too close to the Bulwark. As I ran back to my corpse I was thinking, "Someday I'll get my revenge on that bear!", which laid the foundations of WPL becoming my favorite zone. Plus, who doesn't (or didn't, with the new changes from Cata) love destroying cauldrons and cauldron-lords?
I'm going to have to say that I enjoyed Silverpine the most, it was incredibly fun to level through and the amount of lore made it interesting. I have to say that Hillsbrad was a close runner up due to this questlineWelcome to the MachineA Lost LadCan You Smell What the Lok'tar is Cooking?
My favourite zone is Eversong woods. It has a lush, romantic autumn feel to it...and the cello music always soothes me.In fact, being a bit personal here, but I'm ADHD and I listen to the cello music to calm my hyperness. It sometimes works!
Netherstorm, so beautiful and i had so many epic duels on the marvelous terrain there
My favorite zone was Nagrand because of the amazing environment and quest line.
My favorite one is Vashj'ir, i'll never forget swimming into the Abissal Breach during beta, and playing the Naga Maiden... unforgetable as only WoW can be.
Easter and Western Plaguelands becouse it remindes me at Warctaft III and campaing with Arthas and begining of Scourge at Easter Kingdom.
My favorite zone is Alterac Valley. Back in Vanilla, I used to spend hours at my friend's house just watching him and his brother fight in Alterac Valley, struggling to end the 2-3 day event. I remember how much of a collaborative effort it was to win, and the huge satisfaction that I enjoyed when after all the capturing and recapturing of graveyards and mines, the bolstering of the guards, the raids of the calvary, and the summoning of the gods, that we finally won. Alas, those days have past, but to this day I still remember how awesome AV used to be back in the day and that's why it's my favorite zone.
