Oooh. Sick burn.
That's more subtle than the usual "read the stickies". Kudos.

You'll be ready for heroics when you're capable of evaluating your own gear and determining that you're ready for heroics.
That's deep. Oh, and yes, I think you'd be fine in heroics. Not sure how you picked up those Heroic ZA loots if this is really a question though... I don't imagine you were healing them given the glyph choices in your offspec.

Wow
oberon
, thats almost on par with something
foley
would say 0o dang ...
You think? I don't know, I usually picture foley in my mind as a cranky old hermit master that apprentices are deathly afraid to ask for assistance (like maybe...
Pai Mei
from Kill Bill). Oberon's response came off more of a
Yoda style
, calm, passive, Zen-like voice.

PvP gear is not a be all and end all "Bad Thing". You have 2 of 2 primary and 1 of 2 secondary stats still helping out and if you are good enough to play your class right you won't have the gear for very much longer then it it will take for Blizz's amazing RNG to fix for you.

PvE tanking is always not the same as PvP tanking, anyways, baseline, resilience does nothing for PvE tanking. Save the healer from going into wowhead forum and ask whats wrong with their heals while the tank has PvP gears.

Just having the right gear doesn't make a good tank. But being able to analyze your own performance (including your own gear) is a huge step in the right direction, because it requires the same kind of analytical thinking that tanking does.
First step is having tank gear, cause I cant tank in restoration gear.
Second step is learn the fight, cause you have the gear, you know you can do it, just need know what to do at the right time.
Third, DONE

This more then anything else, lol. As an example I was tanking heroics as a frost geared and spec'd dk using only blood presence and pulling just fast enough that the healers never had time to look at my spec and realize the fun I was having with them...
And yet we still managed to power through the encounters because I knew my limitations and how to do things :P Any bear with the gear to get INTO a heroic has the gear to get it done right it's just a matter of doing it correctly.
Before you say "overgeared" please note that my DK currently is iLvL 344 and was only 337 at the time of the above feats.

There is no such thing a PvP tanking, only turtling up to not die during a focus fire.
I never made an argument FOR resilience in fact if you reread the post you will see that I discounted it for consideration...
As previously stated the WAY you tank has ten times more effect then the gear you do it with.
Secondary stats are simply NOT as important as you think, but before you make some qualifying statement be aware that I DID say:
if you are good enough to play your class right you won't have the gear for very much longer then it it will take for Blizz's amazing RNG to fix for you.
The PvP gear in heroics was only a serious issue back when everyone was just barely capable of even getting into them iLvL wise combined with all the difficulties of the heroics PRE-nerf. Do the job right and gear hardly matters as long as you meet the baselines specified and enforced already.

is Resilience can not be reforged?
Err, as the rest, it is a habit to not to bring PvP gear into PvE fight, resilience will never do anything in PvE.

No it cannot. But you still have a second secondary stat that can be.

I'm not endorsing PvP > PvE by any means. just that PvP gear UNTIL you have PvE gear is completely viable and quite arguable. Back when Cata first landed a few friends and I got the new Heroics only drake inside of 3 weeks of release and we were being really really lazy about it. At the time I don't think any of us had broken 336 iLvL due to just crappy drop rates and quite a few of the group had ~600 resil from the gear we had on... Do the job right and your gear is less of a concern. Think of it this way... Your skill is how to determine how viable you are, GEAR just makes you more effective.
Skill > Gear for the purposes of heroics.

In some cases, I actually PREFER people using PvP gear, if the upgrade is good enough.
I know the horrors of finding wrists. If someone have a 359 itemlevel'd tank wrist, especially a bear, I'd never, ever, raise my voice against him or her. We have like 2 options for decent wrists pre-raiding. Stamina and especially agility, is far more important than 1 secondary stat on your gear, and the different between a low itemlevel piece, and a high one, is VERY large.

The wrists from 10-player Magmaw don't reflect that much skill from a feral druid.
