So I have a question about
Fan of Knives.
Does it cause the poison applied to the thrown weapon to automatic apply to target(s) in the range?
I was pickpocking some troggs yesterday and it seemed like everytime I Fan of Knives them my
Empty Poison Vial would apply to them. In the tooltip it states that its a 50% Proc. chance.
Also does weapon speed have a effect on the Poison Proc's. I know from reading that some poison have a higher chance to proc on hit depending on the weapon speed. So would a 2.2 speed Thrown Weapon have a better chance to proc something like
Empty Poison Vial over a faster weapon?

I'm going to assume that you are asking this because you went with assassination with
. As you can see, the talent clarifies that you have the normal chance of applying the poisons from your equipped melee weapons. Now everytime you FoK there will be 3 poisons proccing and their respective procs will be connected with the weapon each poison was attached to.
Mind-Numbing Poison, Crippling Poison and Deadly Poison have a static chance to proc (and are also called PPH poisons or proc per hit poisons). Any kind of attack will have the same chance of proccing them, no matter the speed of the weapon. This means that when you FoK and you have MNP applied to 1 of your melee weapons, you will have 50% chance of applying MNP unless you also attach it to the other melee weapon or your thrown, increasing the chances to apply it. However, PPH poisons will proc more often when you auto-attack with a faster weapon, because obviously the weapon will hit more times.
For PPM (proc per minute) poisons the proccing is related with the weapon's speed they are attached to. These are Instant Poison and Wound Poison. The slower the weapon is, the more chances the poison has to proc on every hit. This means that when you FoK and you have IP attached to your thrown, you will have more chances to proc it if it's a 2.2 speed thrown compared to a 1.9 speed thrown. (And if you attach DP to your thrown, it won't change anything the speed of your thrown).
