Alternative customes hardly count, they're not their canon outfits. >.>
Hmm, also, I'm curious about
Mass Effect 3.
What does it play like? I've heard a lot of praise about the franchise's lore and well, I suppose RP side of things on here and from people irl, as in which choices you make affect the outcome of the game and... stuff. But what's the gameplay like? I hope it's not too... like, action-y or FPSish. Also, I've not played any of the other games and I think this is the only one out on PS3? Would I need to play the others to kind of know what it's about? And the graphics. Are the people as fugly as they are in Skyrim (the main reason I'm not playing it!) or can you make them "aesthetically pleasing"? ;)

First one was only PC/XBox 360, second one came out for PC/PS3/360. I've never played them, and don't really have any desire to, but I think they are like Dragon Age in regards to combat(possibly, as I doubt they are like KotOR). Graphic wise, they look
that
in the first one,
and that
in the second one.

Oooooooh it looks like you might be able to make pretty people. That's good. I might have to get ME2 maybe. >.> But ugh, will it make sense without playing the first?

Sense? Mostly. Will it be nearly as epic? No, it won't.

If you've never played them, you should.

I can't play the first one because I don't have an xbox. D: My PC would probably die if I tried playing it on that. >.>

I'm thinking about picking up the first two Mass Effect games myself. I got a shiny new PS3 for Christmas, but I had already bought all the new games that came out for my xbox, so I need something to play on that anyway.

Mass Effect Games play like shooters. They don't have anywhere near the same setup or gameplay style as the Dragon Age/KOTOR games, though. I hate shooters normally, though, but I had no issues playing Mass Effect. I just set everything to easy :)
Also, I would recommend not playing the second until you find a way to play the first- it's just so much better when you can import your choices.

If you've never played them, you should. As I told Rank, in regards to Mass Effect, I just don't care that much. Now, Dragon Age, I do want to play those.

@Adams- I originally had no interest in playing the Mass Effect games. I loved the Dragon Age series, and my boyfriend was always bugging me to try the ME games. I kept telling him no, I wouldn't like them, they were shooters and I hate shooters, and I'm not a huge sci-fi persin anyway...
and then I tired them and was hooked. Just my two cents about them.

Maybe possibly if a PS3 copy of the first game get's released, I'd play it then, but other then that, meh.

Your missing out if you like RPGs. It really does live up to the hype. I'm currently torn between Dragon Age, Fable, Red Dead Redemption, and Mass Effect as my next RPG...

Go with Dragon Age, IMO.

Quote a few people shared your views on Oblivion and loved Skyrim, they improved a lot of what made oblivion suck. To each his own though.

My personal favorite Resident Evil game was RE4, which was half shooter half horror. Better than the strait up shooter RE5 and better than all the previous games that were strictly survival horror and played like a rail shooter...

Honestly RE4 had shooter elements as well as survival horror, especialy if you compare it to the old games. IMO thats when the series started too shift not RE5, and it was due to the positive reception that the game got that made them decide to continue shifting into almost pure shooters. Developers just do not know how to use moderation...
