Warcraft II: The Dark SagaActually it's Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal heh.
The PS/Saturn game was called The Dark Saga, I thought. Or am I just imagining things?
Also, I should put up a list of all my favorite game from all the systems I've played too. I'm just too lazy to think that hard.
The PS game was called that, I stand corrected on that, but it was still WC II: Tides of Darkness and the Expansion Beyond the Dark Portal on one disc instead of two like the PC version.

Well, yeah, it was a port. I don't think anyone's denying it was essentially the same game. I just vaguely remember that being the title of the Saturn version my friend had.

So, a few games I recently bought and tried:
Torchlight
This one is quite the jewel. I love so many things about it. I was looking for a good Diablo-like game for quite some time too, nothing really outstanding since Sacred. The loot system of Torchlight is great, the art style is great, fighting is dynamic and fun and controls good, skills are fun and interesting, there are a bunch of mechanics that spice things up, some well known from Diablo 2, some new and interesting. The steam-punk setting and permanent night in the hub city are two additional huge bonus points for me personally. So far I have tried an Arcane alchemist, then a melee combat alchemist with which I completed the story dungeon, and currently I have a level 20 Vanquisher. There is a lot of amusement potential in this and aesthetically it is just what I love, so... awesome. If some of those things I mentioned sound intriguing to you too and you haven't played Torchlight yet, I do recommend.
Two Worlds 2
Can not say much about this game yet. I managed to get through intro and am in chapter 1 at the moment, but I already did manage to gather a lot of experience just by farming mobs, and I most probably out-level the area I am in at the moment. This seems like... a slightly weaker classic rpg piece. The music is very charming, and the graphics can be rather pretty on some occasions. The drawbacks are a somewhat cliché story and very stiff and
odd
animations. Art style is average, it walks the classic "realistic" fantasy path without much stylization with the exception of various unnecessary, but attractive details on armors. Biggest strength I found in this game is the magic system, which pretty much gives the player a chance to create his own spells. There is not an unlimited amount of effects you can mix up, but there is a
lot
. Some considerable work has been put into making this system work, and I appreciate that. Nevertheless... I would recommend to get this if you ever find it in a sale for less-than-usual price.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
A blast from the past. This old ass game may have terrible graphics, but lemme tell you, playing a Vampire has never been so much fun. You get to complete quests, hack computers and fight baddies and supernatural baddies in the body of a vampire, with all the awesome vampire abilities at your disposal. The quest system and especially the character development system are extremely old school (which is not a bad thing to say in my opinion, quite the contrary) and well designed. While normal hack and slash fighting is still satisfying, the game also gives one the ability to be stealthy, and this is where I found the most fun in combat parts of the games. Sneaking behind the enemies and silently dispatching them is just totally awesome.
So much for my three super mini reviews. I would totally recommend VtM to anyone, torchlight to people who can not wait for Diablo 3, and TW2 to people who love detailed and highly customizable magic systems.

I watched the BFF Report, chuckled, then proceeded to not play WoT. Just didn't look that good.

Don't bother. I've heard my friends playing it... apparently it's one life per game and many times things such as earning 10k in a game and your tank costing 11k to repair have happened to them.
Don't bother with what? I've been playing since open beta and love it...
I was just seeing if there was anyone else that played it that would be interested in grouping up for games.

Watch TotalBiscuit's first impressions of it. It'll give you a good idea.

Finished the vid. Seems like an awesome game! I am spending a lot of time playing indie games recently, and I can not pass on an indie game with art direction that is as pretty as the one in Limbo.
I still have to complete Vampire the Masquerade though, and Two Worlds 2. And then Deus Ex comes out. But I will keep checking steam sales and will buy this game eventually.

yes. Yes. YES!
I love this game. Nosferatu master race reporting in. I don't know if you've heard about it, but some people have created an unoffical patch that fixes up a lot of bugs and adds more to the gameplay. If you haven't already, you can check it out
here

Anything can be fun if you play it with friends. I recall playing an awful lot of Lego Star Wars last year and it was a blast.
