So basically the OP is looking for a raiding guild to carry him through content whenever he gets to 85. At least thats what I make of his post.

There are a few things that need to be more clear to fully understand your intentions, as well as to offer you proper advice.
First, "raiding guild" is a pretty broad term to use these days. Our guild is 11/12 right now (God I hate Nef....). We raid, 2 nights a week, every week. But we are not what I would consider a "raiding" guild. Attendance is not required, no complex loot system or rules....we just get together a couple days a week and do our best to kill some bad guys. We have several members that are in every run, and some that rarely, if ever join in. In our guild, we would have no issue at all taking in anyone that has a good attitude, is respectful of our rules, and is just an overall "good" guildie. And along the way, you would likely get to see some content and get some shinies.
Now, in my view at least, a "raiding guild" is a guild who's primary focus is on clearing PvE content, with all else comming secondary to that goal. That type of guild is very unlikely to "adopt a noob", as that would be of little value to their overall goal. While you could argue (and be somewhat correct) that a guild could take in new players and teach them how to play, and end up with some really good players at the end, thay have no need to do this. There are already scores of other players already at that point that would be happy to join a high-end guild that would not require the training.
The second part of this issue is YOU. There is quite a difference between a noob and a newb. If you are just a newb, you still have potential to become a great player. And all the resources that you need to do that are already there. Learn your class inside and out. Do your research here and on other sites. And you have 85 levels of content ahead of you to hone those skills. Gear out as best as you can with PuGs and a good social guild, and if hardcore raiding is what you want from the game, it will eventually come around.
Now, if you are a noob, none of the above matters. If you aren't willing or able to learn what you need to learn, or just think that all that matters is your avg iLevel, than your chances of ever seeing end game content are pretty slim.
