Prot PvP Spec.

I was playing around with different PvP specs of paladins and i have yet to try Prot. Looking up videos and guides got me interested. Now i love PvP and i love paladins, been with them since BC through all the OP and good times we had to all the bad and worse times. Im commited to staying with them regardless of being FotM or not. So im prepared to get slaughtered or get annoyed.
This spec
(major glyph open for
HoJ
or
Fear
) Seems like the only way to go, as far as i see in most guides.
I was wondering if for any reason
this
might be any good?
In that spec you take a point out of
GbtL
and ignore
DG
(our supportive ability) and place them in
HG
. This increases damage output, though they can still move out of
Con.
wouldnt it be better than putting points into a
WoG
ability? Concidering that WoG has a 20 seconds CD, (still even in Patch 4.2 for us prots) and the shield we get for specing 2 points in it never happens? When do you ever have overhealing in PvP? This tralent is only good for the HS bonus (which is being removed in 4.2), or if you have a healer that can keep you topped off which will allow you to have the shield, even then the damage it absorbes is hardly any mitigration. Is the 5/10% increase really that needed? Making WoG a oh *!@# button that we try to get the most off every 20 seconds with
GbtL
,
EG
, and
RoL
?

In PvP, you want to balance survivability and damage output. I think the second point in GbtL for the shield is more useful than dropping a heavier Consecration that's now on a 30 second cooldown. You'll get overhealing in emergencies or when opening, which is worth more than the extra damage you'll do (i.e. practically nothing).
DG is mainly used for larger Arena groups, rather than 1v1 or 2v2.

Lol, why does everyone want to derail each thread I post in, when we've got a bajillion off-topic threads these days? :D
Thanks!
