2 years ago, Maxlock was possibly suggesting how WotLK would end. The funny thing is how specific he was.
Take a look yourself.

Pretty impressive. Unless he was a Blizz employee, but I doubt it.

Not bad. Let's ask him to predict the ending to Cataclysm. ;)

I don't know if he still visits the forums. In fact, I actually don't know anything about him, lol.

it was a lucky guess........ come on, so many people were guessing if the lich king would die and if he did who would take his place...... so many names were tossed up at least ONE of them had to be right.

I guess this is true.
Same with the people speculating over who would kill the Lich King. People said Sylvanas, Jaina, Thrall, Tirion, Darion, Tyrande and probably a whole bunch more. It's just that the ones who said Tirion happened to be right.
I mean, we did already know that the Lich King had to be replaced; that he couldn't just be allowed to die.

Except Bolvar didn't die in the first place (unless Arthas brought him back to life after the Wrathgate just to torture him; hell, I'm not really clear how the scourge could get their hands on Bolvar after the forsaken nuked everyone there), and he didn't "pwn us in the face."
So really, no more or less accurate than someone who just guessed that a random someone would replace Arthas.

someone else would step up to take his place after he's dead. like maybe Bolvar...Bolvar as the new Lich King
Someone will replace LK.
I'm sorry SignupSucks, but there is quite a big difference between the two here.

Bolvar died. The flames of Alexstrasza brought him back to life as the scourge recovered his body.

Having watched the Wrathgate scene again, I will grant that he probably did die. However, I have my doubts that the red drakes' (not Alexstrasza, who is not seen in the cinematic at all) breath brought him back to life; more likely it was meant to cleanse the blight the forsaken had used. Clearly the scourge had time to recover the remains after it was cleansed since Alexstrasza and Korialstrasz did not immediately land afterwards.
However, his post made three statements: Bolvar as the Lich King, Bolvar was killed and returned as a Death Knight, and Bolvar "pwn(s) us in the face." I'll grant that Bolvar was killed, but he certainly wasn't returned as a deathknight. And maybe the last was a facetious comment (meaning that we're surprised at the outcome rather than having to fight him as a raid encounter), but it still remains that only one statement of that post is true.
As such I maintain that it was merely a lucky guess, hardly prophetic or a result of insider information.
Also, I've put way too much effort into this as it stands.

I agree with this.
