So I've recently rolled my little druid alt who I plan on keeping feral/feral. I took up skinning since my main has mine/herb. What is a good profession to compliment my main, or is just better to have right now? I had JC and tailor on a different server but those 2 seemed lackluster.

Want class is the other toon?
I would think giving the driud herbalism and Skinning and giving the other toon JC/Mining would be the way to go.
Depending upon the relam ecomony is going to change a few things. I have Scrib/Herb on my druid and make a good income on him. And Alc. can also make a good income but spec depends on your server.

My main right now is a hunter, and I took double gathering to make the most while leveling from 70. My jewelcrafter on another realm can only pull in so much though since there's some pretty fierce competition now. I'm still unsure on what to take though.

For top-end stats at lvl 85 (or highest current level), two crafting professions will always trumph one crafting and one gathering, at least if you have a mule alt who is there for break periods/PvP/gathering mats and/or managing your AH stuff. There's the arguement that well, you're leveling an alt, you'll be running through zones where the mats for your current stuff will be, and it'll craft gear that's ideal for you. Personally, for a druid, Leatherworking would be epic, but you'll more than likely be forced to take skinning along with it (80 crit isn't as good as you may think) to level along with it or just to ease the stress on your cashflow.
You could level them together (LWing/Skinning), then drop skinning at lvl 85 for something more ideal crafting (JCing, BSing, Alche, ect) prof. If you just wanna make cash, you'll most likely be forced to take herbalism and mining. The perk for Herb sucks for Druids. Mining is great for a bear tank, but that's it really.

2 Gathering skills is nice for a dps character. You can farm and do quests while you wait in the queues. DPS can not "power farm" instances like tanks and healers can.
