Getting back into WoW

So after a very long hiatus, I'm getting back into WoW and I want your advice on something. I decided that since I'll be buying the disks anyway, I could do recruit a friend. I found someone willing to give me 15k gold for being his recruit. Since I'm starting from scratch, should I do that or just level myself?

Obviously be his recruit, pick any race/class you want and get the 15k gold.
After you've held your end of the bargain, pick your most desired race/class and level that from scratch.

Be his recruit and make sure he's good on his word.
Starting off with 15k gold is
very
good.

No requirements from him? You can level what you want? No "must play these hours every day"? 15k payoff?
Take the money and run (to 80).
Welcome back!

I just want to throw this in there: Managing and earning your money is part of the fun for some. Starting out with 15k gold would spoil that. Anyway, if you feel it won't for you, and you don't feel like you're taking advantage of the other guy, and you can trust him, go for it.

Well, he's coming into this deal assuming I already have an account that I'm paying for, so to him, I have to buy $100 dollars in disks so he can get his mount.
