Just a quick question regarding what to stack in PvP for a Holy Pally.
I've read the guide in the sticky and it suggests focussing on Spirit. Which I have. I've basically followed the guide. I also read that if you are doing 2s or Battlegrounds, that Spirit is the go. However if you are doing 3's then you should be focussing on other stats. Is this correct?
I am currently only doing 2s with a friend - yes we aren't that good but we are sticking with it and this season we hope to improve a little. And the comp probably isn't the best but we'll work with it for the time being.
Also, I tend to use shock and WoG constantly rather than anything else. I also throw in a big heal when the cast time procs. Is this pretty much the strat I should be sticking with? If peeps are taking a heap of damage I will go with either Flash or Divine to keep up with the damage. Is there anything from a healing perspective that I could do differently?

My guide is focused mainly on 3v3, plus it's not updated for 4.2. Crit has become much better now.

Crit is much better than it used to be, but you still cannot RELY upon Crit. Crit is, by its very nature, random. And I prefer not to leave things to chance. Especially in PvP.
I always prefer regen. (Spirit) If I have no mana, I ain't healing, and I definitely ain't critting. If you go up against another team that has a healer in the mix, and you're fairly evenly matched, a fight can go a long, LOOOOONG time. I had one go for 40 minutes last week. And if you are used to using PvE trinkets when not in Arenas, you will already feel mana-starved enough when you are using PvP trinkets.

Thanks guys.
I have been reading AJ as well and have got a heap of good tips out of it - more like tips around cooldown combinations and specific situational tricks (such as turn evil etc).
I have found the spirit handy - I haven't really had a problem with regen at all - even when i do get mana burned, the regen is so quick that I hardly notice the mana burn (unless of course they switch over to my partner immediately and start blowing cooldowns). Maybe that is a sign that I have too much spirit. So what I am thinking is that I could probably start reforging into crit - bring the balance between the 2 closer and keep tinkering with it until I find the right balance.
I do read about everyone complaining that HPallies have this ability to continually insta-cast. I might get a roll on occassionally, but its far from non-stop. It is obviously because I have gone spirit and not crit.
Good point about the decreased HoJ cooldown - I might have a bit of a look at that and see whether or not that might suit me more. The improved judgement is handy, but hardly a game breaker - especially when I have so much spirit and the haste value is limited with insta-casting anyway. And I do use HoJ as often as possible and where required.
Another couple of questions:
- with keybinding, is it best to keybind everything I need? Or is it OK to use addons such as healbot for the healing spells to reduce the number of keybinds? So sort of use a combination.
- for 2's, should I consider denounce? With the number of heals/dps combos coming up now, I can't assist too well with putting additional pressure on the other team. Denounce may help achieve this. It would be a problem to choose where the points would come from though. I'm not convinced it would be all that useful either, but just wanted to get some thoughts.

I'm not a keyboard turner, but I asked the question for the same reason you pointed out shortfall in your setup. I see benefit in keybinding everything so there isn't that brief delay between movement and heals. Currently I have a combination of keybinds and addon - so I have a similar delay to what you do (although a different combination).
And yeah, the problem I have is the number of keybinds that need to be made to be effective. Like you, I'm not big on modifiers, but I can't see any other way around it. I think it comes down to just playing around with combinations and working out what is comfortable.
