It's fun and it's great that you are having fun with it and all, but it just isn't viable. It may be an annoyance like Blood DKs, but your damage will be too low to kill anyone else with any form of healing abilities. BUT play what you like, if you enjoy it, keep on doing it. I tried it back in wotlk and can recommend it to everyone. :)

Prot PvP is CERTAINLY viable in bg's, not only as FC but also mainly as healer killing/lockdown, node defending and generally being an annoyance(for example, a lone prot warrior running into the enemy group at wsg start can give your team a lot of precious seconds). Even in some arena comps build around their high amount of stuns and interrupts they can be a viable choice. However, their damage is just not up to par with arms, and while their survivability and cc is much better, teams with warriors generally want the burst.
Prot, with a pocket healer against a large group of enemies that preferably leave your healer alone(although thats not needed, as youre the perfect peeler), can be very dangerous. However, an arms warrior with his cooldowns up is a lot more dangerous, and while killing a arms warrior is easy, so is ignoring a prot - for if he doesnt get hit, he doesnt hit anything himself. In arena's(atleast 3v3 and 2v2, I assume that a prot will have a better place in 5v5) trading burst for survivability and annoyance just isnt worth it.

I PVP with a Prot Pally - tried Holy and even Ret for a while but I keep coming back to Prot. Now the pevailing wisdom seems to be that if I were to spend some time getting to grips with Holy or Ret I would be more effective in arena, and I'm sure that's true, but the fact is that Prot is a blast, it's what I know and I don't think I'm anywhere near playing it with the most effectiveness yet, so I'll keep on.
So that's just me, play what you enjoy, etc.
That said, I do think it's shame that any spec is so definitively limited in Arena as tanks seem to be, that all that works is healers or DPS. Balancing is obviously notoriously difficult but more party wide defensive cooldowns (like hand of sacrafice for example) would go a long way to making a proper tank role viable in PVP.
Forcing players to attack tanks with a taunt or similar - I don't see how that would work. But if a tank in arena has a bunch of ways to shield his teammates from damage, then taking him out becomes a legitimate goal, for certain comps at least. It'll all be in the details of course, but I think it's a workable route.

He has some pretty cool videos of 2's with a Blood DK, I recently switched to Prot for a change in scenery from Arms and having a blast, like stated not quite as much burst but I did have 3 Hunters hammering on me in a BG and ended up taking all 3 of them down...
