Hey there Wowers,
Now I have posted before on other warriors questions but now I'm in need of tanking advice. I was tanking for the first time as a lvl 85 warrior with decent epic gears from ZA/ZG. I didn't do so hot though i kept aggro enough and what not, it just seemed to be tough tanking because it looked like I was all over the place. I have been debating whether or not I should try an easy tank class before doing it with my warrior. What do you guys recommend or should I post my armory for my tank offspec so you can tell me what i should work on? I know it sounds noobish but hey I just want to learn to tank besides doing good with DPS. Thank you!

do u use Cleave? (when u have 70+ rage)
seems to help a lot during 5 mans
as Zakkhar said - u probably need more practice

Agreed. I'm a comfortable tank, it's not my main spec but I know what I'm doing and I understand the pulls. Sometimes it looks really messy and I apologise...only to have the group wonder wtf I'm apologising for as I hadn't lost aggro and didn't pull mobs out of party AoE/LoS or anything.
Sometimes it just looks funky. Practice makes almost-perfect ;)
As for spec, if you post it I'm sure you'll get helpful comments, but if you're running anything close to
this
and stacking mastery, keeping parry and dodge roughly equal (parry around 1% - 1.5% higher than dodge) and using + mastery, +mastery/+parry and +mastery/+stam gems...I'm sure you're fine.

so what part was not so hot? i'm always all over the place - warriors are so mobile i have a hard time standing still. just make sure you're not turning your back to any mobs while you're zipping around.

You cant be all over the place. You need to be all over their faces.

Unintentional. I have no clue what that may be.
It's Jack in the Box. Which is wrong, now that I think about it... Carl's Jr. "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face."

Both my mains are tanks. DK and warrior. on your comment about feeling all over the place as a warrior tank. thats normal. warriors simply dont have the "easy" aoe tanking that dks and pallies have. we have no "set it and forget it" aoes so we have to work a little harder on aoe pulls tab targetting through mobs. keeping rend and thunderclap up and spreading the hurt. on my dk i can pretty much drop death and decay and focus one mob and all the rest will stay on me.warrior cant do that.
point is. dont worry so much about being all over the place. its normal and quite frankly its more active and rewarding playstyle in the long run. at least for me.

Actually warriors more than paladin have the set it and forget it. Blood and thunder is amazing and certainly much more "simple" than 3 HP inquisition HotR spam.
i was actually referring to DK/pally ground auras which both have huge radius and can be left on the ground for great initial threat. especially in a world where dps rarely waits for the tank to get full aggro. using rend then thunderclap is slower and has less range meaning to get all the mobs (especially in packs containing casters) a warrior must run around in circles to hit every mobs to ensure full aggro retention.

they were gonna make a thing where thunderclap would leave an aoe 'pool' of lightning on the ground......whatever happened to that?
