Edit: If Jubilee is right, you're just missing out on the New Orleans part of Mardi Gras. Even though I tend to be fairly lukewarm about this city, I'm willing to admit that Mardi Gras here defines easy placement into words.
'Defies', as opposed to 'defines', right?
I'm still not sure what makes New Orleans Mardi Gras significantly different from other cities, but I'll take your word for it for now.

Yes! I added a letter in a way where spell check is useless.

I treat gays the same as a smoker pulls out a cigarette and smokes in front of me. Yes, they are entitled to be gay, and marry, but in my field of vision, I am ignorantly trying to stay away from them. This is my honest truth. Hate me, love me, these are my "bad" tendencies...
As pezz says, what is it that makes us worse people to be around? Smokers are a health hazard, are we a health hazard?
To me, you guys are a brain hazard and it goes against everything I believe in from a relationship standpoint, and I'm not saying it because religion says it's bad. A dic k does not belong inside another man's hole and I'm gonna remain in denial that this world still has a sense of right and WRONG. I support your cause to have your rights legalized, but I refuse to accept to see it everyday in my life and embrace it as another step towards freedom.....
Maybe the next generation of people would have more toleranace for gays and lesbians, but not me. I'm not stopping you guys, so that's a start towards a better future.
I know this may offend many people. I will vote "for" gay marraiage because it is ethically right but I refuse to happily accept it and feel content. I can't look at this in a positive way. Maybe I'm the one with the evolutionary defect who can't accept and embrace this new type of thinking. oh well. :(

You know, that's basically my dad's views on it as well, if I'm not mistaken. Ethics, sure, he'll let you get married and all, but he'd still disown me if I came out. I actually don't have an issue with that view. It's just like all the people who don't want to tell girls what to wear, but disapprove of a slutty choice.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Squishalot##DELIM##

I think I understand the situation, but it raises another question. Does talking to me over the internet not count as something you should be avoiding? Or is it merely a physical repulsion to it?

Nope, not at all. :) To me, you are a good wowhead member.

I don't get why Donny drinks as much as he does, and I don't approve of it, even if I'd also be willing to fight for his right to drink to excess.
That being said, it doesn't mean that I'm not going to enjoy sitting back with
a
drink (singular) and chatting to him.

I wasn't really replying to you, but was replying to facesmasher who said he doesn't want to associate with gay people in real life.

I know, just putting another spin on it. I generally don't want to associate with binge drinkers and chain smokers in real life too, but when they're not binge drinking and chain smoking, they can be very nice people.

Depends on how homosexual you act all the time.

What does "acting homosexual" mean?
Is there an "acting heterosexual"?
Post by

I'm fairly sure you know exactly what I mean.

Again, I don't really get why people give a flying crap. Someone is gay, that's fine. Someone is straight, alright. Someone is bi, good on them. I still don't see where the moral aspect comes in when it's part of what the person is; can't really go against your nature after all.

Being tomboyish, is that homosexual? Am I supposed to be more docile or something, because that's how
straight
women act? In fact I'm not a tomboy at all. I love pink. I love dressing up. I love *squealing* about videos of cute animals. Is that acting "heterosexual" enough for you?
No, I don't know what you mean.

I suppose it is different for girls than for guys, in the sense of acting gay. My apologies.
My point came down to that nobody asks me to act less gay because I don't act gay, and thus nobody knows. Thus, it is possible to turn it off, because I could act gay if I wanted to (even if I hate flamers), but I don't. I act like everybody else, and nobody notices that I'm bi.

Well I think it's obvious that people can't have feelings for or against something that they don't know exists. I was just trying to understand facesmasher's stance on it, which as I understand it is based merely on the fact that I am gay, not on how I act.

But that I think that is sort of the point.
For some, maybe even a lot of people, homosexuality is against their nature, so they treat all homosexuals as though there is something wrong with them.
Which makes no real sense to me. If you aren't gay, the fact that someone else is doesn't hurt you in any way shape or form.
