Thing is, there are thousands of different types of ghost/spirit creatures out there; saying all of them are just energy left behind doesn't work for some of them.

My girlfriend had dared me to go down there with two friends about a year and a half ago. One could hear sounds similar to gunfire, and a creepy, faint, echoing scream everywhere. My friend kept saying he saw a faint light at various places. The rest of us didn't but were spooked out enough to leave by then. Whatever doubts I had about the supernatural before, were killed then.
This raises a question however - if you had not known what the place had been used for until after you had left it, would you still have heard those noises and would your friend still have seen those lights? Personally, I think your sub-conscious minds were playing games with you, but I wouldn't know, of course.

It could be your sub-conscious mind, but it could also be the location itself; places where emotional things happen, whether it's good or bad, could leave an echo of itself behind. Though, that may also be because of other things that end up enjoying places like that(lotta of darker things enjoy pain and suffering).
Myself, most 'supernatural' experience I've had was when I was younger; was in a car with my dad driving to his place, looked out the window into the field next to the road, and saw something huge running along beside us....and the car was going about 80. Thing paced us for a few seconds then shot away from the road out into the open. No clue what it was, and even checked local legends to see if I could figure it out, but never found a description that matched.

I love dealing with the supernatural in a fictional sense. I have never seen anything in the real world that would lead me to believe in ghosts, spirits or aliens, but I am open-minded enough that if I was shown evidence, or had some experience that I could not explain, that I would be open to the possibility that they are real.
However, I believe that the human mind is really good at tricking itself, leading to sensations of tingling, heat, cold, euphoria, etc. that will leave them believeing they have had a supernatural or spiritual experience when really it's just your mind playing tricks on you. It's easy for people's imagination to get carried away and make them think they hear faint whispers or footsteps, to asociate unknown noises with something ominous, or to decide with certainty they had locked a now open door, when really they just forgot. So when I say evidence, I'm looking for something more concrete.

No. I've had experiences of something really creepy and/or wierd happening that I couldn't explain, but I still believe there's a logical reason behind it.

I do not believe in specific things exist, instead I believe there is some things we do not fully understand.
We may call it ghost, but that we see is not that is all there, instead there is more deeper things who is not fully yet clear.
So I do believe there is weird stuff, but not something that can never be explained. We are just not there yet in our development of understanding of the Universe.
I have personally seen stuff I fully not get that it is, but I choice not to be superstition about it:)

Wanted to make a poll to see how many people beleive in ghosts, undead and other kinds of supernatural.
Personally, I'm a beleiver, but I wanted to see WoWhead's views on this :) Maybe, I'll even start a debate :)
meet my sister and you'll believe in ghosts, spirits, and monsters....

The thing with ghosts, I think, is that it's a lot of placebo, because you're worked up and you really want it to be real. (Not saying you guys haven't experienced what you say)
Unless it happened and you didn't expect it.
I encountered a ghost at my uncle's holiday house when I was 13. it scared the living *!@# out of me, and it certainly was not a 'windy breeze' or a 'natural temperature fluctuation'.

Heya evgeni, I could remake this as a poll if you want (and give you credit in the OP).

Sounds good!
I also belive that something spawned the legends of ghosts, not to sure on everythign else though. Except for aliens, which I completely know exist.
I know. For I am one.

Twilight Sparkle put it best: "The word supernatural refers to things like ghost and spirits and zombies, which are as make-believe as curses. This book is just a bunch of hooey."

Says the talking magical unicorn.......anyone else see the irony of that statement?Lol, people have pointed that out, but in the context of her universe, she's perfectly natural.
But I mainly just left the quote because it reminds me of why my favorite character is Twilight... :P

Still an immensely ironic comment from a make-believe(well depends on how you actually feel) spell casting creature.
