Hello fellow wowheaders,
I've always been interested in WoW lore, and always loved to read about my favorite characters, how they came to be, and what they turned out to be, even though sometimes I don't really like it, though I gotta accept it, for its how the stories go.
Though if there's really one thing that draws me like a fly into the light, its the Old Gods. I'm not exactly sure on why but, those mythic creatures simply spark an overwhelming interest on finding out about them, learning about them.
Also note that, I'm aware they are references to the H.P. Lovecraft series of Cthulhu and whatnot, though I've never read them (but I plan to).
What about you guys? What is your favorite lore theme on WoW?

Wrath of the Lich King had the coolest theme imo, Grizzly Hills, Icecrown Citadel, too cool.

I'm a bit in doubt at the moment. All this Pandaria stuff has gotten my interest, but not knowing what to expect... it's a bit hard to place. I'm looking forward to pure Deathwing lore though, rather than Twilight (which had a lot of interest of mine, at least before they turned into Deathwing's puppets) and Elemental stuffs.
The Old Gods in general, however, will always be one of my favorites - especially seeing the similarities between Naga and Flamewakers. Oh yeah, and Hakkar the "snake god"... coincidence? Hmm... :P

Find myself agreeing. Dungeons in Lich King needed work, but the area itself was amazing, quest lines were engaging, you actually wanted to stay in Zul'Drak for the drakkari god quests past level 78, when you would normally move into Icecrown. Unlike the dungeons, the raids were flawllessly designed, and I still beleive Ulduar to be the most beautiful and engaging raid yet.
Boy did I also loved Northrend. I seriously think that it was the single best area Blizz ever made. They simply nailed the cold north feeling in that.
Along with all the Scandinavian references, I simply loved it. I also didn't liked the dungeons for being too easy, but hell the lore compensated it all.

My favorite lore theme was always the Highborne. I was fascinated mostly because they weren't technically playable ( which they are now ), and they were basically unheard of in RP before now. Places like Eldre'thalas, Zin-Azshari, and the whole storyline of the Well of Eternity.
