I probably won't be able to annoy one of the other officers who has two rage tanks like I used to, where I'd pop every CD, lust, and an agi potion before he got two hits off, but other than that I bet it's not so different.

No change, I am still running away from the dps, albeit at a higher pace.

This issue was never a well geared, highly experienced tank losing control of monsters. The issue was newly created, poorly geared, inexperienced tanks never getting control of the monsters especially against a well geared DPS. In fact this seems to be more of a favor to DPS so they can just trigger trinkets and cooldowns for massive raid level DPS without being worried the barely 353 tank can keep up.
If you are a raiding tank, you probably won't notice a difference. If you are raiding DPS that has to dip into Heroic Dungeons to cap out for the week because you couldn't get into all of the raids for whatever reasons, then you will probably notice a difference. If you are leveling a tank or a little undegeared you will probably notice a difference.

i noticed a difference lol...my wife plays a prot paly and her gear was decent enough to go into the troll dungeons so i jumped on my resto druid and healed her through it. She held agro pretty easily over dps that greatly outgeared her. Made the runs way less hectic and way faster since no one had to hold back.

Actually I'd say it wasn't when you asked. I didn't notice any changes after wednesday reset, I noticed them only after weekend reset.

It's rediculously easy to hold threat now, but (I'm still leveling my pally tank) it's still a pain in the ass when people jump the gun and pull stuff I'm not ready for, like being oom for example.

I'm amazed that there are still tanks who can't hold aggro (any tanking class) with nearly-doubled threat gen. It's ridiculous. Are these guys going AFK during fights?

My brother (a rogue) is able to Tricks of the Trade another DPSer for increased damage
and
put out tremendous burst damage on the target without coming close to my threat output. He's around 11 points of equipped item level above me (361 / 372 ish). This is in a 5-man heroic dungeon, where I'm rarely hit hard enough to get a good stack of vengeance on the go.
Like it's been said, the threat boost was to let under-geared tanks stand more of a chance of holding threat against that 384 arcane mage going all out. For the most part, I find that my tanking is relatively unchanged as I've always geared for avoidance/mitigation (equipping DPS trinkets like the justice point +hit one only when it was absolutely necessary, like a fury warrior with exceptional gear mowing down mobs).

If you're being oom as a pally tank you're probably doing something wrong.
OT: I did notice random hc's with pugged tanks go a bit smoother now, there's still ocasionally an arms warrior that decides it's a good idea to lolstorm before the tank even looked at the next pack but meh, their problem.
Don't know if you noticed.
I'm still leveling my pally tank)
