[PvP Resto] What am I doing wrong?

I just started doing PvP on my Shaman but I'm having some issues with my mana. It seems as if I run out of mana real fast, (Faster than other Resto Shamans), and once I'm getting focused I have trouble staying alive unless there are any obstacles I can hide behind. Imagine what'd happen if I tried playing offensively on top of this.
Here's my character (Head/Shoulder/Shield enchants are on their way)
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/ragnaros/Almighty/advanced
Also, which healing spell is my main healing spell? i.e. the one I should be using the most.
Both
Healing Surge
and
Greater Healing Wave
seem to be healing equally much if you take casting time and mana cost into account, but do I ever use
Healing Wave
? Sure it barely costs any mana, but anyone can outdamage the heals from that spell.
Thanks in advance
Sincerely,
A confused Shaman.

I'm only at 1.6k rating on my
shammy
in 3v3 (I only play casually with my friends), with a subtlety rogue rogue and a retribution paladin, so I'll give you my playstyle.
You need to keep check on who's being focused and keep Earth Shield on whoever is, you get 18% more healing on whoever has Earth Shield so it's well worth it to change its target (also keep track of charges). Remember to constantly use Water Shield unless you are under heavy fire, which upon you change to Earth Shield and then back to Water Shield when they're switching. I feel that I rarely get time to cast a LHW as it is too weak and too slow, so I always resort HS and GHW. Also I use Unleash Elements a lot because it improves my healing a bit, usually with riptide or GHWs.
I can't really tell you how to play because it's an ever evolving fight.

I'd make sure you're using riptide on cooldown, and echo the comments above regarding use water shield not earth shield unless you really really need the extra heals from earth shield. Consider mana spring totem if you are really struggling. Also use mana tide early, don't wait until you're really low.
Take water with you and use every opportunity to drink. Line of sight is your friend. Bear in mind that healing surge can return some mana via crit if you have tidal waves up.
Grounding totem, wind shear and hex are your friends, and stoneclaw/earthbind for the shield (with the glyph) combined with instant ghost wolf, ancestral swiftness and spirit walker's grace will all maximize survival, and lessen your healing, so maximizing your mana!
Also, focused insight, frost shock or earth shock, and you will save more mana but it's a crazy play style to master. Maybe macro unleash elements with something.
Totem timers is a great addon too, and don't forget spirit link totem for those oh my god moments!
And good luck!
Sorry for the weird sentences, on a phone!

I use Earth Shock with Focused Insight in both PvE and PvP, alternated with Unleash Elements, so every Riptide is buffed. (Or, I can boost a GHW) It's a bit like going Enhance, with how busy it is. And I'm also casting lightning bolts in between heals to get mana back. However, the end result is better mana-efficiency and mana returns. And therefore, I can support bigger or faster heals for longer.
A big mistake a lot of Shammies make with the Stoneclaw shield (with the glyph?), is that they think they have to leave Stoneclaw down. Nope! You just drop it, and then immediately replace Stoneclaw with another earth totem - the absorb shield remains on you.
Interrupting doesn't come cheaply, but Shamans are the best interrupters in the game, IMHO. And, you can Purge spells (like HoTs! -- dont' forget those!) and buffs off of your enemies. Weaken them. Waste the mana of THEIR healer. Wear them down. And lasty, I agree on using instant ghost-wolf and intelligent use of Spiritwalker's Grace. Mobility is key to winning Arena matches. Well-played Resto-Shammies piss me the hell off when I'm playing against them on my other toons. ;-)

Yep, purging is great! I'm just starting now to use it well, I've macro'd it to purge arena 1, 2 and 3 on mouse buttons, and am currently learning what I can purge... It includes, so far, am awful lot of things from priests, including shadow orbs, disc bubbles, etc. I've got a spell announcer which tells me when I successfully purge something, which is very handy indeed!

Not sure about oom thing, my 84 shaman took on a all s10 with ruthless sub rogue and he didn't get me past60%health or70% mana he ended up forfeiting after an hour...thing that helps...mana shield!

Really small side-note; A nifty trick I learned back in Wrath is that, against opposing Shamans, you can Purge Ghost Wolf, or even Maelstrom Weapon stacks! :) I mostly use Purge for Wings or other buffs, though. Most classes can overlap so many buffs that it just takes too many Purges to get down to what I want to shear away, and by then I'm OOM. That's Enhance, though...
Wow! Great tip ^_^
Heehee yeah I've been waiting 'til we have matches won and then trying to purge everything in the world ever... even with far a bigger mana pool than enhance, it's still quite a hungry spell. I am looking at it as 'I want to see what's purgeable then start making smarter choices'.

Mm.. One thing I have noticed us that purging shadow priests can be fairly profitable, I 3v3 with a shadow priest some of the time, and he was rather surprised to hear I could purge shadow orbs and other such things that increase damage output. But I definitely agree that it's to be used with caution!
