Well since the 'pattern' of Knaak's novels have been at the end of the expansions; Night of the Dragon happened after the fall of KJ and just before the new Scourge invasion, and Stormrage is stated to be after the fall of the King so......entirely possible that Wolfheart will set up things for the next expansion.

See, with Sylvanas though....she agreed to the creation of the Blight, she watched it used on test subjects(both 'willing'* and unwilling) and she really didn't give a crap; for her, it was about avenging herself on Arthas/the Lich King and she really didn't care who had to die to bring that about. That Putress used her weapon too early in a coup still doesn't take away the fact that the Banshee queen ordered it's creation in the first place; that she uses it in her war is just her tactics.
* Supposedly, as said in Rise of the Lich King, Sylvanas watched as the Blight was tested on a Forsaken 'criminal'; she actually thought to herself that it was entirely possible the forsaken wasn't a real criminal....and she didn't care enough to check and just let him be used as a test subject, knowing it would kill him.

Now he's projected those daddy issues on to Thrall and we get "RAWR I GOTTA BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY NEW DADDY SO HE'LL LOVE ME!".
You do realize that Garrosh is older then Thrall right?

That's the problem, though: it was created to combat the Lich King and any enemies trying to destroy the Forsaken as if they were Scourge. Yes, she ordered the Blight created. It always seemed like a weapon designed to eradicate the Scourge, and defend the Forsaken from the Scarlet Crusade. Given that the intro in Cata clarifies that Sylvanas did not order Putress to use the Blight, and that the Forsaken have to work to show their loyalties to the Horde, it seems odd to have her using the Blight in a manner similar to Putress. Not that odd; she'll do whatever it takes to win, no matter what: You see that quite clearly in the Worgen starting zone when you are observing her little discussion in the church.
And of course, there is also the fridge horror that comes into play: How did they figure out how well the Blight would work on the other races beyond the Humans and the Forsaken?

Adamsm: Yeah, like Sig said, it probably wouldn't be too hard to extrapolate that it's working as intended on other races.
And sadly, we don't have the data which could show us how many Horde and Alliance travelers vanished in the Glades and Silverpine during Vanilla.

I hate the Forsaken...or at least Sylvanas, but I don't think the entire race is pure evil; there are good ones out there to offset the bad.
