I can see we're on gravity now. Here's my input:
Gravity does exist. We don't know if the earth's core or spinning or whatever is causing it, but the actual act can be observed, measured, tested, and proven. God cannot be measured, tested and/or observed.
It's the numerous manifestations of gravity that we can measure. We measure the speed of the objects coming together, we measure their masses, we measure a thousand other things. We then explain all those observations with a new idea which we give the name gravity.
Likewise we measure we measure the beauty, or the goodness, or a thousand other things in the world, and we explain those observations with a new term.
The difference is that the former involves objective measures while the latter is strictly subjective measures. A man can live his life and watch everything around him, and when asked can proclaim confidently that God made it all. Another man can live his life, observing everything that happens as well, and when asked can proclaim confidently that God couldn't have made it all. They are doing the exact same things one would do in science: observing, hypothesizing, observing other scenarios to see if the hypothesis holds up, revising, observing some more, and reaching some conclusion. But again the difference is that speed is objective, but goodness or beauty is subjective. Thus, a person's conclusions are only truly valid for that person.
No, religious people think everything bad is caused by the Devil, and everything good is caused by God. Which isn't quite hypothesizing because they explain about something they have no idea about, which supports Mr. Freeze's post, you can't test or prove that God exists.

Why do horribly bad things happen to good people and great things happen to terrible excuses for humans?

I wonder if Satan plays WoW...
I doubt it...

That's true, but they believe that Moses had two of every animal on Earth put into his wooden ship, which is total BS... So, I would rather put my logical reasoning on the shoulders of the Scientist, rather then the Pastor.

I don't think this can go on.
Ashelia made it
abundantly clear
that participants of this thread in particular ought to tread carefully and several posters have failed to discuss things maturely and without resorting to prejudice or outright hate.
I could delete some posts and warn certain users but this thread, it seems, is bait for a certain type of post so I'm going to lock it and hope that everyone thinks about how they interact with other people, especially those with whom you disagree.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##
