I decided to make this poll because I wanted to see what the general reaction is to the new expansion (unless it is somehow a joke, which is extremely doubtful at this point)
Mists of Pandaria.
Just hit one of the options and post below explaining why you chose that option.
I, for one, am okay with it. I see a couple issues (maybe) so far such as the talent choices and so on, but overall my reaction is positive. I actually have no problem with Blizzard making an expansion involving the Pandaren, even going so far as making them the figurehead for this expansion, although I do hope they somehow manage to expand on it, possibly even bringing something definitive to the table that isn't simply Pandaria (i.e. N'zoth, Azshara as villains, more zones that aren't in Pandaria).
What does everyone else think?

Whoever thought of the idea of Pandas should either be fired or not allowed to think. And it doesn't sound like Blizzard is making the game any more fun... just adding more of the same content disguised in black and white.

I quit well before this expansion was even a rumor. I didn't care about it then, and I still don't really care about it now. So if their goal was to attract back players who have stopped playing, it didn't work very well in my case.

I absolutely hate it. I hate everything about Pandarens and Pandaria. And, being that they will be a race for both sides, there will be no way to avoid seeing them everywhere.
Oh, also NEUTRAL RACE! The one thing I have always facepalmed and foamed at the mouth about, and here it is in game!

I absolutely hate it as well. But I actually like the idea of a neutral race, but just not pandas or anything like that. Something that actually makes sense to be neutral... like dragonkin.

I doubt they will ever do this any time soon. That would be like opening the largest can of worms the world has ever seen. Just think about the consequences on Role Playing realms.

...Better than pandas.

I still think it would be opening a big can of worms. I've tried D&D campaigns based around having a dragon (NPC) in your party and similar. Didn't work out well...

I don't really like the whole pandaren's concept but I'll withhold saying it's going to suck out loud till I can actually play it on the PTR at least.

After watching the trailer for MoP and reading all the Blizzcon news so far I am astonished at how I am only able to find one idea I like and that being minimum range for hunters being removed, though not at the cost of being able to equip melee weapons.

The talent system revamp quite frankly pisses me off. Blizz basically scrapped the talent trees in 4.0 promising "more customizable characters, without having to feel like certain talents are mandatory." Well, I guess that worked out really well, didn't it? Now we'll have to deal with re-learning our characters, something that drove me from a mage to a druid to a priest to a shaman to a paladin to a rogue to a hunter to a druid and now finally to my priest. Damn it, I was comfortable being a mage and now I'm never getting that back.
I stated that no matter what Blizzard does, someone is going to theorycraft and decide what the best talent tree configuration is for each class/spec combination. It's a given. Either there will be a best (with very minor differences), or there will be three (or four now I guess) specs that play a little differently but don't have any advantages over similar specs from other classes. What I'm hearing is "we need more homogenization" and "homogenization is bad," both from the mouths of Blizzard at the same time.
If they want to give each class/spec a unique feel, they're certainly going about it the wrong way. It's either that or I'm WILDLY misinformed.
Otherwise, everything looks pretty good to me. I like the idea of challenge dungeons that will self-tune to your gear level, and getting unique pieces from them for mogging purposes is a cool idea, one that will eventually lose its luster I'm afraid.

Still, I find this really odd. All the other expansions have had the
epic
touch, which is completely lacking with this one... I mean c'mon, they're bloody
Pandas!
