I have to admit..I'm not 100% up to date on the Pandarian lore...but just out of curiosity where does the expansion storyline eventually lead us to?
I knew each major patch in Cata would lead to Deathwing.
In Wrath they led to Lich King.
Who/where will the major patches lead us in MoP.

Who/where will the major patches lead us in MoP.Alliance vs Horde War.
Dealing with the murderous Sha that is spreading across the land.
Dealing with the Mogu who want their lands back after being conquered by the Pandaren thousands of years ago.
Dealing with the Mantids who are breaking through the barrier wall(why does that sound familiar?) due to insanity spreading through the insectoid people.
Finding out what is going on with the Pandaren themselves.

Can't forget they might use material that may be left over from Cataclysm (because I can't see the downfall of Deathwing being the end of N'Zoth's "plans.") Who knows?

Or save that for the next expac, since MoP is suppose to be the calm before the storm.....whatever that ends up meaning heh.

I still think that if MoP is to be focused on the horde/alliance war, at some point they will add a raid that pits players against horde/alliance forces (Think, like the faction champion fight on trial of the crusader, but instead of being just 1 boss, its a full raid instance where all bosses belong to horde or alliance and you fight which ever is the oposite to yours)

Honestly I think said "storm" will end up being Burning Legion related.

Could. Could also be another major disaster that cause a certain big breasted queen of snake people to come up to the surface heh.

Long as we don't end up fighting actual Lore figures, I'd be alright with that.

Which we COULD just have in MoP. You never know. She doesn't necessarily have to be the main villain.

Eh, I think if Queen Big !@#$ was going to be major player in MoP they would have mentioned Naga somewhere in the panel. I'd really rather they keep her for whatever expansion has N'Zoth as a primary big bad, since it's been more or less confirmed that was the OG who created the Naga at this point.

If the enemy in the next expansion is war itself, then I would think we should end the expansion by "defeating" the war between the two factions. In this sense, perhaps the developers are setting up the (supposedly) last two expansions after MoP as a united front of Azerothians joining (or forming) the fabled Army of the Light and going after the Burning Legion and Sargeras.

I'm still a little vague....is there no single enemy(i.e. Lich King) that the end of the expansion will lead up to? What will be the culminating factor of MoP?
Looking up some info I came across this page about lore. So I will post it here just for reading sake.
Perhaps WoWhead may have already a thread about this and so it can be deleted.

No and the Alliance-Horde war.
Well, maybe dealing with some type of super powerful Sha that has been brewing since the Horde Alliance War and finally surfaces, planning to destroy everything; similar to any ancient legend about having to destroy a God/Goddess/Spirit of Violence.

Why so much hate on MOP? i have a few ideas.
1) The non-epic feel of the expansion. We went through a gateway to a alien world with demons in TBC, we fought the Scourge and the coolest villain ever, Arthas in WOTLK, the entire world changed in Cataclysm. But this is just a island we stumble upon, with no clear purpose, and no epic evil enemy.
2) We expected something else. We discussed another expansion with the Burning Legion, we discussed Azshara, we had our hopes up for the Emerald Dream. We didnt expect kung-Fu panda.
3) Some of us where dissatisfied with cataclysm. TBC was so awesome words cannot describe, WOTLK was not as good as TBC, but it was great anyway. cataclysm is a good expansion, but not nearly as good as the previous expansions. Mists of Pandaria looks worse than cataclysm, and if cataclysm wasnt up to par, how will MoP be?
4) The "change" of target Audience. Us old grumpy geezers already feel way too old for playing computergames, we liked the previous expansions cause they felt timeless, and appealed to a older audience. MoP seems like it caters for a younger audience, kung-fu pandas and pet battles might be fun, but they are also "cute" "fun" and "childish". we want "epic" "dark" and "dangerous" Us Oldies plays for a few hours to escape our boring jobs and our boring responsibilities, and like to get immersed in a fantasy world. Pandamanbears have no place in our definition of a fantasy world.

But this is just a island we stumble upon, with no clear purpose, and no epic evil enemy.Personal opinion there; Arthas was a massive joke by the end of the expansion, barely worth the kill. And maybe you don't think it, but the whole idea of the Sha in MoP is mind numbing nightmare fuel: As in, the negative emotions being formed due to the war starting on the continent are taking on a living form of their own and want to keep the conflict going to keep allowing them to form.
2) We expected something else. We discussed another expansion with the Burning Legion, we discussed Azshara, we had our hopes up for the Emerald Dream. We didnt expect kung-Fu panda.I never had hopes for an Emerald Dream expansion because it would just be more of Azeroth, just in one piece instead of 4; kind of meh.
3) Some of us where dissatisfied with cataclysm. TBC was so awesome words cannot describe, WOTLK was not as good as TBC, but it was great anyway. cataclysm is a good expansion, but not nearly as good as the previous expansions. Mists of Pandaria looks worse than cataclysm, and if cataclysm wasnt up to par, how will MoP be?Personal opinion there again: I enjoyed Cata, hated Wrath but liked BC; I'm withholding judgment on MoP till it actually comes out.
4) The "change" of target Audience. Us old grumpy geezers already feel way too old for playing computergames, we liked the previous expansions cause they felt timeless, and appealed to a older audience. Pandamanbears have no place in our definition of a fantasy world.Except you know....Pandamanbears have been in Warcraft lore since Warcraft 3 so......And the Mantids, Mogu, Sha will more then bring out the dark of the new continent.

Personal opinion there Personal opinion there again
Reeks of subjectiveness Reeks of subjectiveness.
Of course skumbananer is giving his opinion. Of course he's being subjective. That's what this whole discussion
is
, subjective talk about our personal opinions.
I understand people being annoyed at the flaming haters, but skumbananer presented his complaints and concerns quietly, politely, without lashing out at anyone, and even with self deprecation.
