I always find archer classes the most fun to deal damage with. I typically choose ranged classes above melee since I get a nice view of the environment and enemies, rather than their giant backs.

Usually some kind of battle mage so I can cast spells as well as get in some good melee action.
Rogue all the way!
Ranger, always have to be a ranger, just like im a hunter on wow, its a way of life
Usually when I'm playing with groups I love being the healer or the tank, since I'm the backbone of the group, but usually I love the rogue/assassin/stealther class, best if I can make a stealther/ranged combo (like in D&D) you can handle almost every situation stealthly and you can easily escape difficult fights!I loved rift because of the assassin/marksman spec you could make, but it wasn't really good unless in 1v1 situations
I favor the in your face melee classes,no skulking around in the shadows, no casting those fancy spells from afar,If I want to kill something, it'll know that I'm coming, mouth frothing, weapons swinging, howling all the way!
Mage
In RPG's i usually play a ranged based class. My favorite class is the mage (caster classes)
Some Mage Class or Healer ;) Depends on the game
I usually go for a Melee/Caster hybrid, if applicable. Otherwise, the warrior archetype is my class of choice.
I usually play healer as my primary role, with tank as a secondary. For some odd reason DPS ends up being third.
I'm Nerobyrne, I play a different class depending on the game. In third person games like WoW or Rift I play Mages. However in first-person RPGs I always end up playing a sneaky character, like a rogue, especially if they can wield bows or sniper rifles.
I prefer to play melee DPS.
I usually play a melee class with heavy damage!
