It can work in the same way long distance relationships can. Not often, and not for long. Most historical cases of polygamy are in societies where women are basically treated as objects or accessories, so it is often used so "successfully" because one partner is happy and the others don't complain.
It's not always the case of course. I knew a girl who lived in one of these communities once where they can't legally marry but everybody lived together and had sex. She seemed happy, but she was also kind of unstable. I don't think it works for anything more than a casual sexual relationship for long because of jealousy and favoritism.
Not that I'm judging. My own relationship history is kind of strange.

I think the biggest barrier to polygamous relationships working out isn't necessarily the difficulties involved in the nitty gritty parts, but rather, the fact that you need to find someone that is accepting of the polygamous lifestyle, and then you need to actually be able to form a bond of love and trust. Add on to the fact that polygamy is largely viewed with disdain in the developed world and your options run rather thin.

Depend from the type of love.
You can love everyfamily member. You can love random guy/girl. You can love your idol. You can love animals (yeah some people think animals are persons)... They are all love, but different type.
Tush, I very specifically said Bigamy and Polygamy, so this question is about a very specific type of love: Romantic/sexual love.
Not fraternal love (Between family members) or platonic love (Between friends).

No, I don't think so. While I'm loathe to quote scripture, there's one about how no man can serve to masters, for he will love the one and despise the other. That's how it seems to have worked in any polygamous society on earth, barring a very select few cases.

Honestly, I don't know. I have a girlfriend that I really like, but I don't love her yet in the same way I love my mother. Someday, maybe, but love seems like a really fragile and difficult seed to grow even when there's only one to tend to.

Try this.
Could go through it and find one you like. "As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?" sounds like a good topic. Some are generic "What is your favorite/least favorite thing" questions and the like.
I was thinking about asking "Which time period would you like to live in?". Maybe have it as two questions. One about real eras, different time periods in different parts of the world, or fictional places, like Azeroth, Middle Earth, etc.

Well I didn't understand thous words and my translator says only Error. So I hope you could use Easy English some people could understand. But now when I know the question... Nope. Why?
Example: You love drugs and you love alcohol... Now they are " ok" sepratly but when you take them both it becomes extreamly leathal.... Do you understand? Yes.

You could also search for the definition of the world and try to understand that instead of looking for a translation, there may not even been one.
Bigamy
Polygamy

Lust, yeah, but I don't know about love. I've never felt like that about
one
person, let alone considered the possibility of more than one at the same time.
