I don't use any of those, just WoW for me.
I've never used Steam or anything like it before.

I use Steam so I can have access to games that are on consoles like xbox360, that way I can play the online features without the online multiplayer fee, etc (such as xbox live). Plus, PC has a better engine when it comes to things like graphics, etc IMO. On top of that, Steam is like an iTunes for videogames - once you buy it, it's yours, no waiting for it in the mail, no leaving the house too often. Quick and easy. You can also by alot of games that are mainly sold in stores which support a PC platform (i.e.Dishonored), along with games that aren't seen in stores (i.e.Terraria). The balance of indie, mainstream, and every game in between always provide for a vast variety of games to choose from, and browse! I always have something to play, Steam is awesome!
I do not use one, as I have concerns about privacy and getting infected...I would, nonetheless, love a Cinderkitten.
i use steam to get the summer sale! but everytime play only wow!
Steam - I use Steam because of the following (in order of importance)* game variety - the wide variety of different game types and titles appeal to me as an eclectic gamer. They have old favorites, new titles and just about anything for whatever whim I may have at that moment.* cost - Most of the games available on Steam are quite reasonably priced. They do have discounts and special deals often which generally incites me to try a game I'm unsure of since it's not expensive to do so and not a promotional demo or trial period. * convenience - not having to keep track of software discs, boxes, codes, etc. not only keeps my house clutter free but I can also play and download a game on my multiple computers at any time, from virtually anywhere. Just log in and go. * game management - all the games I have paid for or played are in one location and easy to access* user-friendly interface - straight forward, no frills, intuitive without having to click link after link after link in a never-ending cycle until you finally reach what you wanted to find/do/download or play.* social - my friends are on there, I can see who they are, if they're on, what they're playing, what I might be interested in but also have the option of remaining offline or anonymous so not ever creep I meet on the internet knows my real name (unlike Bliz's Real ID). Big Fish Games - I use BFG to download some of my standard no-brainer games that I might play on break at work or at home while puttering around. * game manager - is bot a positive and a negative. I like that again, all my games are in one spot and I don't have to go looking for receipts or game codes, or software cd's but I also think it's silly to have to use the Game Manager on my PC for games I have installed and played, it just opens up more stuff and uses more memory... pretty redundant.* cost - prices can be reasonable when a deal is going on. I wait for those deals to purchase.* anonymity - again, I am happy that I can use an email address and username of my choosing instead of having everyone I might want to interact with having my name.I hope that helps! :) Have fun and thanks for all the fish ;)
I use steam a bunch, and I've bought a lot of games on GoG.
I have never used any digital download services yet. Though I have a Steam account to play Counter-Strike online, but I bought the game on CD back then. I might try digital downloading someday..
I do not use steam. I have no use for it at the moment.
i use steam because of all the games i can get from it and it is also easy to talk to friends from it
I use Steam. Like a lot of players my main passion is WoW and has been since before BC (im not one that claims I have played from the start but pretty close). Having played for so long there are times when you need to take breaks so Steam is the best service I and my friends have found to distract us for these short periods of time. :)
I use Steam for most of my games purchases these days. The sales are awesome!
Yeah, I use Steam, mainly for Team Fortress 2. Not as much as I used to, considering WoW is pretty time consuming!
Several games on Steam, however I tend not to play them often.
nope, my computer is very old and i can hardly run wow on the medium settings :( but if i get this kitten i will update my pc this summer, and let it travel by my side in it's all glory :D
The answer for me is no, only because WoW is the only game I play. Between baby naptime and bedtime, I don't have time to play much anything else. That being said, I used to work at gamestop and recommended steam for all the PC gamers I helped. Also, this:Cinder kitten, you're the one.You make bathtime lots of fun.Cinder kitten, oh dear, why did the water turn you to steam? :-O
