"Truthfully you aren't the lightest thing I've ever carried..." Sagohkrn grunted shambling towards the docks, where one dark iron ship remained, crewed by five dwarves. "We can take that to Booty Bay, I'll take care of the dwarves and put you there. Then I have to find Pui."

Faust, for a moment, looked taken aback and by the lowering of his brows, perhaps even offended. "Oh no. On the contrary, there is always a choice. For example, were you to desire not to, you could put down that sword right now and walk out that door. This, so far, has been merely an attempt at explaining the circumstances.
"If you refuse," Faust continued, "I will take back the weapon, and simply find another to give it to. Of course, there will be repercussions, but not directly of my hand oh no. That would be base. Namely, from the before mentioned darkness which will come."
"Speaking of," he added, glancing to the weapon. "I suppose it might be time to explain the specifics of what you hold before you make your decision.
"That ensanguined blade you hold is no ordinary sword, even by our own arcane standards. It is but one of an ancient class of weapons better known as Harmonic Armaments. They are tools of a far more...primal age, when magic was raw and wild, and all that mortals had between themselves and the darkness was the meager solace of a fire. The process is largely a lost art, tough I suspect it shall be making a return sometime soon. Do not ask why," he said, holding up a forestalling hand. "I shall not say.
"They were forged of sound. Raw metal infused with magic which has more akin to the growls of beasts than forge and anvil. These were blades for the heroes of their time. If you've failed to note, the tales of ancient heroes are less bound in books and pages but rather immortalized in song and poem. Before there was language, there were stories. Before there were stories, there were heroes. That is the principle behind these weapons. They are forged by their wielders and their achievements, growing stronger with every deed.
"Of course, time refines. Though the Harmonic Armaments remained often made if not more frequently so, they underwent a metamorphosis. They began to take on more specialized...techniques. And were even given names. Dulcet Bows, the Singing Sword, Axes of Black Metal Screaming, Hymn Hammers, Symphonic Scythes (and Lyres of @#$%^&baggery, but they were generally used by a specific sort of person who hung around the new Colleges).
"That blade," Faust said, directing attention to the crimson and black weapon gripped by the albino, "is called a Dirge Dagger. You're laughing? You shouldn't, had you seen those who once wielded such wicked weapons. But if we must be contemporary, it is called Corpse Eater. I think," he smiled,"you have come to understand why."

"For whom the bell tolls, then?" Ohrmuzd drawled gutturally, sounding less like asking for a direct answer and more musing idly. For the first time since his explosive awakening, the albino took his eyes of Faust to examine the Corpse Eater more closely. He held the Armament to the light falling through a jagged hole in the roof, struggling to hear the ebb and flow of the music coursing into his veins from the skull-crowned hilt.

Music seemed to thrum though the blade and into the albino's frame, playing upon nerves and bones in a low symphony of mournful, bated power.
Faust smiled. "You have
no
idea."

Ohrmuzd grumbled wordlessly. Lying to himself was never a habit of his, and he could not deny that wielding the Corpse Eater felt right. Of course there was a rather large possibility of the weapon trying to influence him - but in the end, it was just a beautifully crafted tool for carving people up, and more than a few formidable psychics had tried to leash his sentience - only for their efforts come to naught when his wrath cleansed him.
It was getting stranger and stranger still, though. The melody made him more aware of the incessant throbbing in the back of his head than ever before, but at the same time, paradoxically, the rage-pain held less sway over him. He came close to thinking clearly whilst unbound for the first time in quite a long while - and he had yet to triumph over a challenging foe with the Corpse Eater's help. Ohrmuzd vaguely recalled Jastiel promising him once that if ever his fury grew cold and became shackled to his will, he would be stronger than imagination could comprehend.
The shark-toothed man did not need to know this, of course. Ohrmuzd suspected bitterly that the other was a much more intelligent person than the albino. Still, it was not like the silver tongue had seen anything beyond a berserker. Tricking him would be harder than even fighting him - but the risk seemed well worth taking.
"I have grown rather fond of the Corpse Eater," Ohrmuzd announced slowly.

Sagohkrn leapt onto the dark iron boat and dropped Hexic to the deck. The surprised cultists turned towards them, weapons coming out. The draenei lashed out, streaks of light rushed into the first two dark iron dwarves. They collapsed; thrashing their lives away.
One of the dwarves leapt over the side and began swimming away. Sagohkrn jumped amongst the last two dwarves, felling them with two blows of his sword.
The Priest jumped back onto shore and ran back towards Menethil, calling for the young pandaren.

Faust leaned back and smiled a little wider. "I thought you might.
"But I should tell you now that it remains...incomplete, as it were."

"Hey come back you foolish priest!" Hexic yelled, "Are you crazy? I mean. do you actually know how to use a boat and do you think I can help you without my runeblade? No, and to top it all of I'm going to have to wait for quite a while for my unholy power to come back and I have nothing magical! So, I want to firstly get back to Ironforge!"
It was a good plan anyway, he could handle gryphons reasonably well, certainly not as well as he used to but still reasonably well, and he could get his payment from Moira while also getting a runeblade off the Death Knight trainer, true the benefits of his saronite armour wouldn't come back, he'd have to go back to Northrend for that but that was all right, at least he had armor.

Sagohkrn, far away now, yelled back, "There are no ports in Ironforge, we'd have to go to Stormwind! By then my quarry will be bound for Northrend!"

Shouting equally as loud, Sagohkrn replied, "It'll take to long! I know that their are death knight trainers in Booty Bay! And if not there, we can stop by the Shadow Vault in Northrend!"

"What do you mean it'll take too long? They're flying lions that actually know how to get to Booty Bay for goodness sake! I mean, can you get to Booty Bay by sea. Heck, can you even captain one?" Was the loud and impatient reply.

"Because wielding a previously owned Harmonic Armament is not so simple as picking it up. You would first have to be not only chosen by the weapon, but overcome it. One would need outdo that blade's previous tales for even a hope of mastering the powers it once held in the hand of its previous master."
"Besides," Faust added, reclining back in his seat a trite defensively. "Besides, there are few truly ancient ones left in this world. A new one was far easier to forge. As for its completion, well..." He gestured at the blade demonstratively, smiling. "The name Corpse Eater is not some playful moniker, you know."

"No. Well, if you like I suppose you can feel free," he added almost carelessly. "That was a rather popular tendency not so long ago, if I recall. But on topic, it is the blade which shall do the 'eating'. Your job is merely to...provide it ample opportunities to do so."

"Let's see if my grasp of the situation as described by you is correct. I will kill people with the Corpse Eater, making it stronger, and some of that power the Corpse Eater will give back to me."

"No," Faust replied succinctly. "It is the weapon that will gain the power. You, however, will be wielding the blade, thus its power for so long as you hold it."
