Nicol sighed.
"Fear not, Miriawyn, he shall not harm you," he spoke, stepping between the paladin and the lancer.
"I would think you have enough mental faculties to understand I have no interest in whatever you may propose after you butchered the innocents that were my kin. And I should think the noble paladin is of similar mindset," the twice-born said firmly.
"I have no wish to fight over my own cousin sister's fresh grave, but if you do not leave now, I will make you leave."

"This does seem to be a rather dire situation," Petyr acknowledged. "I'm concerned that this Power has begun moving after several years of inactivity."
"Indeed. I'm sure you can see the need to act quickly and decisively," Andrey replied, handing Petyr a glass of fine elvish wine and taking one for himself. He had removed his iron hunting mask to display a fineboned and uncannily, inhumanly beautiful face. His eyes, however, remained a deep, bloodshot red, as though they were constantly straining to see and finding nothing.
Petyr accepted the glass and took an appreciative sip. "Yes," he said after a moment. "Yes, I can see the need for this. What of Balogh?"
"He was present during the attack," Andrey replied. "I'm sure that he rallies the Thirteen as we speak."
"Mmm," Petyr hummed, taking another sip. "I'm not sure if I wish to see them called to war after so long. They have become... restive, of late. I fear that their Thirst may run rampant."
"I place no doubt onto Nicol's abilities," Andrey replied reprovingly. "I can attest that he will keep them under control."
"As you say," the other replied placatingly. "I shall call the Guard and place them on high alert. My son will be accompanying you, as well. He needs experience in battle. Merely hunting has left him inexperienced."
"Very well. Send him to House Balogh. I shall meet him there," Andrey replied, standing.
"My thanks," Varga said, standing as well.
"And mine as well," Andrey said, nodding and trading a hand shake.

The cultist grinned and stepped forward to strike silently.
Unfortunately for her, she tripped.
"FEL!" she cried, slamming hard into the wooden floor. The ghoul, on the other hand, was much quicker, darting at Eleanor without a single moment of hesitation.

"I believe that you wanted to know who my master is?" Said Eye, "His name is Grold, and he is from the Forest. Grold has been collecting corpses for over two decades now; he has well over five hundred. He plans, I don't know when or how, to raise them into undeath as his own personal army."
Eye leaned easily on his spear, "I served him as a blade for hire; merely to quench my thirst for blood, not literally, like you, of course. I remember now; I am so much more!"
Eye edged closer to Balogh, "I serve something that waits in the Forest. Something that haunts an abandoned citadel. A shadow that never moves. Gaal Suondae! Perhaps you've heard of it? Always throughout the ages has it been known; a dread whisper on the tongues of men, an echo of a nameless fear...What are you, Balogh. What do
you
serve?"

"Just as I was beginning to think you are somewhat mentally challenged, you successfully proved me wrong by demonstrating that you have cretinism in terminal stage. My congratulations," Nicol sneered with a mock bow.
"I mean, really? Bragging about serving a frothing lunatic of a necromancer in front of a paladin?"

An upset cry resounded in the streets. The man lifted up his lantern, and the flame grew in intensity. The soft light danced on the walls but failed to illuminate what he searched for.

Miriawyn clenched her hand on the shovel in her hand, she clenched so hard that she started to bleed from her palm.
The paladin glared menacing on the Eye.

As Hennet and Darsina's monotonous and pointless argument went on, Secrin let out an ear-deafening scream, "Shut up!"
Darsina and Hennet, glanced at each other and chorused, "No!" and continued their arguement.
Frustrated, Secrin used used the shadows as gags to shut Darsina and Hennet up. "All right, there's a path leading out of this place, most likely to civilization, how about we sneak around the back of the place and the side and go onto the path, where you guys can continue your pointless arguement and I can find out where we are, okay?"
Both Darsina and Hennet, nodded and they started walking, Hennet and Darsina all the while arguing until they came into the graveyard. "Ooops," Secrin whispered before using the shadows to cover her, as Hennet utilised her stealth, leaving only Darsina visible.

"Necromancer?" Eye snorted irritably, "I surely hope that you lie to protect your pretty face, Balogh. Or are you really as foolish as you pretend to be?"
Eye turned his back on the two, "A frothing lunatic? Is that what you said? No one is more intelligent than the shadow that waits in the Forest. Perhaps you underestimate it simply because, " Eye smiled and turned back around, "you have no shadow!" Eye pointed at what was missing, revealing to all that Nicol Balogh did not have a shadow where everyone else did.

"So you serve the sinester shadows?" Miriawyn spat out. "And i don't see mine either, most likley becouse it's th' middle of the fecking night!" She pointed out, hatred in her voice. Who would ever belive that the noble Nicol is a dark spawn of darkness, sertinly not this righteous paladin. "You blithering madman."

"By all means, Miriawyn," Nicol said with a warm, serene smile, spreading his arms to the side. "I have nothing to hide from you."
Appearing with a normal shadow would be the easiest of tasks; the lord of House Balogh ruled over darkness and commanded it as he saw fit. If the paladin hurled a bolt of Holy Light into him, on the other hand, he would definitely be in pain. It would take no small amount of effort to appear unharmed, but Nicol was confident he had vastly more power than Miriawyn and would be able to fool her.

Miriawyn placed her sword infront her face, the flat side facing her. The paladin mutered word of a prayer then she raised the sword to the heavens and the longsword began to shine brighter than magnesium on fire.
After the dazzling light fade away after a second or so after it's creation, Miriawyn began to run towards Eye. Her sword high in the air, ready to smite him.
"Do you realy think i will trust your sinester lies, wicked one!" She yelled as she charged the soulless one.

The smile slid into a smirk as Nicol swung his obsidian dagger. The black blade expanded at the speed of a bullet, rivaling now the paladin's sword in length, and the edge that was sharp enough to cut stone as if it were hot butter hit the Eye's spear exactly below the weapon's head.
