"I see,. If you ever need to talk to someone, you can either go to me or a confessor*" She adviced, pating the mans shoulder.
Then the paladin began to chant a prayer before she began to fill the grave with dirt.

Nicol listened to the prayer in silence and standing still, with the exception of kneeling to scoop a handful of dirt and throw it symbolically into the grave.
"I am grateful for the offer. It is shameful that I must hurry with this burial, for there are urgent matters I need to attend to back at my House. Would you bury the rest of her family while I prepare the funeral pyre?" he asked after the prayer was over and the grave was filled to the brim.

Grimmwald Plains
The force hit the door like a battering ram; shaking it against its hinges. The curtain rod held over its window topples and fell to the ground; taking the curtain with it and allowing a view of the terrible beasts outside.
Worgen. Snarling bipedal wolf-men of nightmares. They wore fresh blood around their snouts and claws; all that remained of the livestock of the farm outside the house's walls. It started with chickens, then pigs, and even several horses had been dragged off into the forest. For weeks the beasts had stalked the farmstead, preparing an attack with their small party.
With another bash, the door flew free from its frame; smashing inwards and through the entryway. A half-dozen beasts crawled their way in; sniffing about. Glancing at each other, the group began to fan outwards in varying directions.
There were noises. A whimper and a low breath; someone shushing the original source. At that, all six Worgen looked upwards, their gaze flowing towards the stairway.
One too the lead, the path too narrow for anymore. Moving carefully, it glanced around the landing above. There was only one direction to go, and it followed the hallway. Swinging a mighty arm, it smashed open the first door it came to.
The room was empty, save boxes and sparse, naked furniture. A creaking drew its attention to the end off the hall. The door tilted slowly, tauntingly as it slid open. The family stared with wide eyes of fear. A man, a woman, and two children; all locking eyes with the monster as it turned and rushed them. A howl resounding from its maw before it leaped; moving to pounce through the doorway.
The Worgen suddenly cut itself off; yelping as it was thrown backwards from a sudden impact. Slamming along the floor, pictures and shelves fell from the walls, smashing as they landed. The other five bests watched from the stairs as the large battle axe, designed in the visage of a skull lowered from sight; an tall black leather boots stepped out into view.
The woman was tall. Not inhumanely, but certainly to a point where most would be forces to look up at her face. He limbs were long and lanky, wry muscles hidden beneath loose clothing. A black, low cut dress with long sleeves; reaching her wrists. The skirt itself went just past her knees, split along the side to allow some freedom of movement.
"Took you long enough..." She commented, grinning and revealing long, fanged teeth as the lead Worgen stood back up. "I've been waiting in here for hours, really." She commented; glancing back at the family and nodding.
Quickly, the four rushed for the window of the room; popping it open and making their escape. Growling, the beasts looked ready to charge, only to give pause as the woman flashed light off her weapon; her face becoming quite visible suddenly. Long black hair flowing well below her shoulders, and dull red eyes staring at the hunters.
When the Farm had sent out a cry for aid to the nearby House Varga, Meline had nearly jumped at the chance. But, not for helping innocents. She had grown tired of her sparing partners, wanting to become stronger, but never truly seeing a chance to improve.
"Won't you give me a challenge?" She implored, readying herself and rushing the Worgen.

Grold

The worgen sniffed happily at the piles of bodies. "It is finally time." he said to himself. The bound necromancer in the corner gurgled against his gag. Glancing over at him Grold spoke again, "Finally time!"
The large wolf man lept atop the necromancer, killing him with one swipe of his wicked claws. He began conversing with the dead man, "I am Grold the Wise One! Did you think you could keep that from me?"
Grold leaned over the corpse and scooped out a tiny skull painted purple. This artifact could raise the dead; perfect for the magic-less worgen.
Grold pressed his thumb and forefinger into the skull's eye sockets and squeezed hard. The skull pulsated; bands of energy rushing out and into the dead. Grold laughed and sang to himself;
"To the dead, among the mold,
Rise up and serve, your Master Grold!"
The dead, all of them, rose up. A horde of zombies standing and looking intently at Grold. The intelligent worgen laughed. The wretched sound echoed through out the slimy sewers.

"Ofcourse mi'lord." Miriawyn spoke respectfuly and bowed.
The paladin walked into to the main hall in the manor and picked up one of the corpses and the tombstone that lay at it's feet.
She then moved to one of the empty graves and gently lay down the dead noblilty at it's bottom, and then she said a quick prayer and then thrusted in her shovel into the pile of dirt and dumped it in the grave.

It was not long before Katrina's family were resting in their graves, while the bodies of their servants were consumed by a truly massive pyre, the flames reaching above the manor's roof.
Nicol stood with his hands clasped behind his back as he watched the fire roar. His shadow was indistinguishable from any other, and in the light of the blazes he looked truly exhausted and carrying an unseen, yet heavy burden on his shoulders. He had not noticed that the pile of servants' corpses was missing several - or perhaps he simply did not care. For a moment he closed his eyes, sending out a call for a particular group to gather, then turned to Miriawyn.
"Before I depart to my House, would you like me to escort you to Grimmwald, noble paladin?" he asked. "I must confess, it is remarkable that you have managed to get here by yourself unharmed; the Light must be looking out for you."

"I suppose they are in a better place now," Nicol said with a sad smile. "Years have not been kind to Grimmwald."
The nobleman turned away and began walking down the road that eventually would take the two of them to the city, expecting the woman to follow.
"I am curious, though. Just how did you wander to this place, all alone and at such a fortunate moment?" he asked over his shoulder.

Meline Varga
Grimmwald Plains
One of the wolves leapt at the woman, Meline spinning and catching it in the abdomen with her free arm. Slamming the assailant through a door, the Worgen was sent sprawling into the room beyond.
It took less than a second for the other five to become airborne; pouncing at the warrior while howling their battle cries. Meline rose her axe up; barely guarding against the initial attack before being forces to fall back somewhat. A set of claws came dangerously close to her neck; the huntress leaping backwards, boots slamming back onto the floor.
Yes, this was proving much more entertaining than her usual training. But she couldn't exactly keep up a fight with six enemies, especially ones so unpredictable. Switching her weapon into a proper hold, Meline swung at the oncoming wolf-men; slicing through the air and walls of the hallway, splinters forming from the horrible cracking sound of the walls caving in around the combatants. "Come on, show me what you've got!"
Growling, the wolves rushed again leaping at her as a group, with little space in-between the attacks. Claws and teeth came down as Meline dashed past them, slicing through her dress and skin. Bringing her axe up, she caught the one in the back by it's gut, grinning at a small victory as the beast yelped. In an overhead swing, the Worgen was suddenly brought down; slammed into the ground with a spurt of blood.
Still, any Grimmwald citizen worth their salt would know that the beast wasn't down for long, and so she had to move quick; heading for the stairs. The first Worgen to attack her burst from the room, however; slamming into the woman's side and tossing her down the stairway. Rolling and smashing, Meline hit the wall at the bottom quite hard, splintering the wood. The Worgen gathered for a moment. For all intents and purposes, the woman should have been dead.
Which is why they could only stare as she stood up, shaking her head. Furious, the beasts lept from the landing; claws sinking into the walls above Meline before they bolted at her. Still trying to regain her focus, the warrior managed to knock one aside with her axe, suddenly being rammed back onto the floor by another. Opening its maw, the wolf snapped down on one of her arms with a growl; yanking and tugging in order to dismember its prey, render her powerless to defend herself.
Black hair fell in front of Meline's face, obscuring her grin somewhat. "Is that the best you've got?" She asked, the Worgen flinching somewhat as the moved her arm with inhuman strength; flexing her arm muscles tighter to prevent it from escaping the trap. "Shame. I was hoping for a real fight." Rushing forward, she yelled; smashing the Worgen into the nearest wall. The beast's jaw broke with a sickening crack, and the rest of its pack stared in shock.
Pulling back from the wall, Meline let the body fall limp at her feet, smiling. The others growled, backing away as she turned to face them. Turning, the remaining five fled; racing out the door for any escape from their prey turned predator.
"Well." Meline commented, looking over her now cut and blood-stained dress. "That was interesting..."

Eye
Location:
Grimmwald Sewers
Eye needed leverage. Even alone, Balogh would remain adamant that he served Grold. The answer to this unwanted problem? No more Grold. He blinked, and he was in the sewers, in front of Grold.
The worgen stood at the head of at least five hundred zombies and an undead necromancer. Grold cocked his canine head to one side, "What are you doing here?"
For answer, Eye unleashed the nova from his spear. Grold leapt out of the way and the necromancer threw up a shield, but the first hundred zombies weren't so lucky. The undead went up in flames. They flailed wildly, setting the ones behind them ablaze. In less than twenty seconds every zombie was part of the conflagration. The inferno only lasted for five seconds though, the zombies expired, falling into the water and dousing the flames.
Eye pointed at the necromancer. A bar of liquid fire consumed the undead. Grold leapt atop his one time assassin, raking his heart out with his claws. Infuriated, the wolf man stepped off of Eye's corpse, surveying the ashes of what had once been his army. Only a gray silhouette of a man on the wall was there to testify that the necromancer had ever existed.
Grold snarled, robbed of two decades worth of planning. He grunted in surprise when Eye's spear rammed him through the chest. Eye smiled and snatched the skull trinket out of the worgen's hand, "This may come in handy," he whispered to Grold, "Too bad worgen are immune to undeath. You would have made a nice pet..."
Eye withdrew the spear and Grold tried to turn but Eye sliced his head off. Picking up the head with all to human eyes, though now glassy in death, Eye blinked again, and was back at House Balogh Manor.

Eleanor's shot was either extremely skilled or absurdly lucky. It passed right through the ghoul's open mouth and through its brain, pinning it to a wall while its life energy bled away.
The necromancer stared for a moment, then started banging her head against the floorboards. "Why me...?" she muttered.

Meline Varga
Grimmwald Plains
Slowly, Meline made her way out of the house, walking along the bloodied fields. Bloody and mangled carcasses of farm animals littered the area; several survivors running around in a still panicked state.
At the end of the main path, a carriage awaited the woman's return. A driver stood beside the horses, watching her walk. "Did everything go well?" He asked, eying her clothing.
"I got one, but most of the bastards ran." Meline explained. "Still, they put up a good fight. Keep an ear open for other sightings." She nodded.
"And the family?" The driver inquired.
"I have no use for their little reward..." She rolled her eyes. "I'll see what I can do to reimburse them for their home and livestock... I did kind of destroy the former." She thought. "What else do we have to do tonight?" She asked.
"There is the meeting at House Balogh, ma'am." The driver nodded. "But, with all due respect, you look... ill suited for-"
"I'll change on the way." Meline replied, slipping into her carriage.
"Yes ma'am." The man nodded; climbing up to get the transport moving.

Walking swiftly away from the ragged man, Umander resumed his patrolling duties. His acute ears, however, picked up the distinct sound of a crossbow being fire. Hoping that this

Getting closer to the spot, he heard the half-elf's voice, "Where is he?"
Thinking that Eleanor was probably threatening some foot-pad about the whereabouts of her father, Umandar rushed into the scene.

: Nicol Balogh
Location
: Grimmwald Plains - Grimmwald Forest - City of Grimmwald
Nicol smiled at the paladin's resolve. She was so naive and so adamant in her will to bring the murderer to justice. Such people served well as the protectors of the livestock. Having to kill her would be a real waste, and the lord of house Balogh found himself wishing the woman stayed deluded as long as possible. After all, the twice-born had enemies beyond the Light-thumpers, and the latter could very well be sicked on the former.
"We will stop its rampage," the nobleman said firmly. They took a turn deeper into the Forest, and the outline of House Lindtar vanished behind the trees.
...
It was a long trip, but a remarkably uneventful one. Horrors stalking the Forest fled from Balogh and Bealum, their presence too much of a challenge to bother when there was much easier prey to be hunted. And so the two walked from under the canopy of intertwined branches and up to the gates leading to the City.
"It has been a pleasure, Miriawyn, but now I must depart. Where are you staying? I would like to be able to contact you once I have gathered more information on that monster," Nicol said.

The gates swung open, revealing a lone figure standing in front of Kristoff. A middle-aged man bowed to the heir of House Varga, and gestured for him to enter the grounds. He was slightly shorter than average human, the sight exacerbated by the extreme breadth of his shoulders and length of his arms. He had graying, receding black hair and his heavy jaw was grey from the stubble that has grown over the course of the day. The man was wearing an immaculately white shirt, a black waistcoat with a bow tie, dark woolen trousers, lacquered blunt-nosed shoes and a bowler hat which he tipped at the Varga youth.
"Young master Kristoff!" the man exclaimed, his low and guttural voice coming at odds with his cheerful demeanor. "Young master Kristoff and this one have already met, but this one is sure young master Kristoff does not remember a lowly bartender such as this one. This one is named Igor Higgs, and it is truly an honor and a pleasure to be young master Kristoff's guide for today. Please, come in! May this one offer young master Kristoff a drink?"
