Once upon a time, there was a great evil. It spread across the land, sunk deep into the very fabric of the world. It tortured the people, spreading its darkness in hopes of taking over everything.
But, one day, the people fought back. They had been hiding from the evil for so long, they were tired of hiding. From the biggest meanest beasts, to the tiniest little people, everyone rose up. Heroes, every last one of them, fighting against the darkness.
And the evil was beaten. The evil was fought back and killed, and with its death, the world broke. The heroes cheered, but their joy was short lived. In its dying breath, the evil brought their lives to a stop, and chaos swept the land.
And the world fell silent. For thousands of years, its only life was its slow rotation, and the world was forgotten. It was left for dead. That was when the world had a name.
But, one day, it did more than spin. The chaos had changed the world. Magic, science, mortal? Those words that had once held so much meaning, were now simply words; such things existed in an odd mix. Rules had changed, and it was hard to tell what they actually were now.
This world, the one that rose from the darkness, is truly a world of Awe.

Hello! Atik here, bringing you a new RP. If you didn't already know/guess, this is basically an attempt at making "Adventure Time in WoW"
What does this mean? Well, the world itself isn't the Azeroth we know. Many years have passed, the planet has changed quite drastically. The four Continents have re-combined, creating a huge central land-mass that is "Awe" to its inhabitants.
Most of the races, as we know them, are no more. Characters can certainly resemble Night Elves and Humans and Orcs, but keep in mind that the races and world have changed, and species means little in the world of Awe.
So, for the most part, this is an RP that going to require something. New characters. But, before you begin, I would like to point this out;
Don't be afraid. This is an Adventure Time-expy, and this world has practically no rules. You can push the limits (within reason. Please avoid god-modding), or you can sit back and do something simple and comfortable. This is an RP about freedom.
So, what do we have going on? Well, right from the get go, let's set up some areas. These are just some parts of the world, much of it has changed as time as past, and you can feel free to go crazy. I've left many of these intentionally vague, but they give us somewhere to start.
-
Kingdom of Nature:
Perhaps the most recognizable part of the world, Hyjal remained the highest point in the land of Awe, although the mountains name has long since been forgotten. It's inhabitants are perhaps the most akin to their ancestors; mostly humanoid, and a part of the physical world around them.
Kingdom of Fire:
The area that was once Blackrock Mountain exploded, lava covering the land. From it, beings of fire rose; living flame and rock that now inhabit this land.
Kingdom in the Sky:
A flying city, floating over the south-western part of Awe. It is populated by both beings of living wind, and more physical peoples who rely on more avian or magical traits to live here.
Kingdom of the Sea:
In the center of Awe lies a massive sea; housing its own city and people. It's inhabitants are as varied as they ever were, many resembling their ancestors of Naga or Murlocs.
Kingdom of Frost:
The city of Gnomergan only stood so long, eventually collapsing in on itself and leaving Dun Morogh a massive snow-covered valley. Within it, a kingdom rose however. It's inhabitants are quite varies, from beings of snow and nice, to sentient machines, and everything in-between.
-
So there you go with some starting regions. If you don't like them, then I say again; the rest of the world is a playground. These are intentionally vague, and anything is possible.
Anything is possible, that is, in the Legends of Awe.

Queen Rosea
Nature Kingdom
The center of the Nature Kingdom, at some point or another, had been a sight of a very important battle. The massive tree still stood strong and high; reaching up towards the heavens with is barren branches. It's size dwarfed the beings beside it, and made them appear much smaller than the giants they were.
Too soon... They brought her too soon...
In ancient times, the beings had been known as Ancients. Keepers of knowledge and protectors of a long forgotten race. Now they stood, carefully resting the giant flower into the ground. Its stem stretched up, ending in a bulbous red bulb.
They were different, in the old world. But that was before the darkness was battled, before chaos overtook them and they lost their way.
Before the flower lay a body, old and decaying back into the ground she had come from. The great leader of the Nature Kingdom had fallen; and her cause of death was believed to be assassination.
In panic they had plucked her, brought her to rule before she was ripe.
The flower shook, the new Queen stirring within as the bulb suddenly opened up wide. The girl stood, tall and slender, with a lime green skin and glowing yellow eyes. Petals clung to her form, crating a dress of sorts around her as her many subjects watched in awe. Large ears decorated her head, stretching out to either side and twitching as a sound snapped her into reality.
A huge wooden fist touched the ground, the Ancient creaking and splinters exploded from its joints. It bellowed loudly, speaking for the first time in many years. "The Queen is dead. Long live the Queen!"
"Long live the Queen!" The crowed cheered, Rosea's attention turning back to them. She was young, far too young to rule. And, with worry, she couldn't help back watch her predecessors corpse vanish into the earth before her.

Character:
Prince of Wind
Location:
Nature Kingdom
Description:
The Prince of Wind is the future ruler of the Sky Kingdom. He appears as a young man, with dull grey skin like overcast skies and bright blue eyes under white eyebrows. His hair is fairly long and almost ethereal, rolling down his neck from a golden circlet inset with a sky blue gem. Flashes of electricity occasionally spark within his hair. He wears billowy pants that flare out and abruptly tighten at the ankles as they lead into a pair of curled toed shoes. Over his torso is a cloud white shirt with broad sleeves and black vest thrown over it with a pattern of golden lightning bolts sewn in on either side of the .
Casting a great shadow over the verdant fields below, the boughs of the Nature Kingdom crisscrossed one another affectionately to provide a roof over the fragile gardens below. Sunlight filtered through the tree branches by way of infinitesimal gaps between them, casting an otherworldly glow into one of the many gardens which made up the Nature Kingdom. This particular one played host to a horde of roses and sunfloweres, which swayed gently in a small breeze which drifted about the mighty trunks of the forest. It was like a scene out of a renaissance painting.
Right up until the branches were blown apart as something dropped through. For the moment between it hitting the garden and coming through the tree branches, it looked like a rolling storm cloud.
Then it struck the ground with the sound of a thunder clap.

Queen Embress
Fire Kingdom
In the center of the Fire kingdom a mountain once stood or at least that what the stories the elders say what the massive crater that was now occupied by the queens castle used to be. The castle was an amalgamation of all the planet's ores with lava flowing freely around it before running back into the earth.
Within the castle a small golem of brown stone barely two feet high ran down the main hall till he stopped before a massive iron door. He paused for a second as he gathered his thoughts about what he was going to say and pushed the door open revealing a large room with a high ceiling held in place by towering columns made of gems and polished ores and from the far end of the room there was two holes in the wall that allowed lava to flow in and form a small pool of magma at the far side of the room. The golem walked across the room and knelt down on one knee and bowed before the magma pool. "Your highness. I have news from the north" He spoke with a voice more akin to gravel rolling down a hill.
From the center of the pool the magma began to rise and twist around it's self until it made the form of a woman. She had long bright red hair and glowing blue eyes orange skin and her dress appeared to be made of stone with rubies and other gems placed threw out it. "What is it golem?" She asked. "The Nature Kingdom's Queen has passed away." He said. "You bothered me for this?" She asked as she raised up her hand a fireball beginning to form. "Is there anything else before you join the other useless one's that disturbed me?" She asked as she started to walk across the magma. "The rumors are she was assassinated." The golem quickly replied and Embress stopped before the golem. "Now that changes things." She said the fire ball shrinking. "Leave me." She said and the golem nodded before quickly making his way for the door and leaving the queen to her thoughts.

Character:
Skrandglof
Location:
Glaciers
Standing seven feet tall, Skrandglof's legs resemble those of the old insect races; the Nerubians, Mantid and Silithid, and his torso and hands are those of a man. His head is that of a lightning wolf. He wears a simple linen garb and has a crude spear strapped to his back.
Sparks poured out of his mouth and past his long blue fangs. Skrandglof the Woolf sniffed the air, tasting it hungrily. His long legs carried him across the glaciers swiftly and he knew he could outlast the blizzard raging around him. He shivered, or at least his torso did, but the hunter did not care.
Moving through the ruins of blue stone, the dim gray outline of his figure trudged into his vision. The woolf leapt down from the glacier and landed on the sculpture of what seemed to be the skull of some huge, horned beast with blue eyes. But the wolf-headed hunter didn't do more the glance at the ruins, he kept his eyes riveted on the rapidly nearing figure.
Skrandglof rushed forward, bring his spear out and ramming in it through the figure's stomach. The walking, rotting corpse of...something...keeled over and died. Skrandglof withdrew his spear and whirled about as many more of the zombies bagan to appear amidst the ruins.

Queen Rosea
Nature Kingdom
Rosea stepped forward, gliding gracefully to the ground from the flower that had birthed her. The woman breathed deeply, looking forward as the crowd began to disperse; her ceremony complete. The ground shook suddenly, the Ancients moving away as well.
Slowly, a man walked forward, his lets like a horse's torso, but covered in grass and moss. From the shoulders, his neck shot upwards like two twisting trees that slowly came together into a long plant-bulb of sorts, for slits forming an 'X' when looking at it directly. The bulb's sides waved and flapped as he spoke, revealing thousands of teeth within.
"You majesty, it is a true honor to be here for your birth." He stated, quickly adding. "I am The Guide. I shall show you to your home."
With that, the hybrid creature turned; beginning to walk off. Rosea stared a moment; slowly following. "The last Queen was assassinated, is Nature's Castle truly safe?" She questioned.
"Security is our top priority, I assure you." The Guide explained. His form made any emotion impossible to read, even for another member of the Nature Kingdom such as Rosea. Still, she followed along, casting one last glance back to the retreating Ancients.

Character
: King Saoc
Location
: Kingdom of the Sea
Saoc idly watched as a lacksture felmage performed sub-par tricks. The fact that he thought he was good was amusing for now but would soon irritate him, Saoc knew. Thus was the chore of being king of the sea. That was until one of the common water elementals, one of the last of it's kind, was led in by what would've been called a long time ago, a scorpid-naga hybrid. "I have news for you my lord." The elemental announced with great grandeur, shoving the felmage, a now vastly common art, to the side. "The Queen of the Nature Kingdom has died believed to be assassinated."
Intrigued, Saoc enquired, "How is this so? Who bestowed you with such information?" To which the elemental replied, "Rumours like these spread quickly, our people at the ports heard such talk. "
Saoc considered his options, it was true rumours spread quickly, and the sea creatures keeping peace with the people of the land in the ports were totally faithful to him. Chances were, the elemental was not lying. Lazily pointing at the felmage, Saoc's resident demon, a twisted creature was frighteningly strong and possesed power over both shadow and fel, sent a spear of shadow at the felmage, causing him to abruptly die. "I will wait until this is absolutely confirmed."

Prince Maon of the Frost Blade
Location:
Kingdom of Frost
To some, Maon would have been described as a gray sack with arms, legs and a head. To Maon, he knew he was a cross with what had once been known as a 'walrus' and a 'troll'. The frigid landscape of the Frost Land his the many dwellings of Maon's people.
Maon stood atop a sleet coated ledge and gazed over the land, watching it intently, a gray hand resting a crystal clear sword. He dull eyes watched the horizon intently; he remained motionless.
A servant plodded up to Maon, he spoke in a long drawling tounge, "Myyyy...Lord Maonnn...I...have..newsss..."
A hand tightening slightly on the hilt of the clear sword was the only signal for the servant to continue, "The queennnn...of nature is deadddd...by assassinsss...my Lord Maonnn..."
"Good," said Maon, turning abruptly and strolling down the ledge and towards the distant castle.
The servant hastened to follow, "Gooood...my Loooord...?"
Maon nodded, "She was weak; the kingdoms need to be strong! Bring me more information Gruulp!" The servant bowed himself away. Maon didn't slow or hurry, but kept along at the same pace. The Queen of Nature dead? Who killed her? Why? The Prince of Frost had no answers...yet.

Queen Rosea
Nature Kingdom
Nature's Castle stretched through a great valley; wooden walls rising up to form it. Rosea followed The Guide through the massive entrance of the outer wall, making her way through the courtyard.
Guard lined the paths she walked along, standing at the ready in hopes of making her feel safe. In truth, Rosea wasn't sure what to think. One thing was for certain, however; she did not want to be here.
Making her way inside, the Queen continued following through hallways, eventually stepping into a very large room, roses lining the floor like a red carpet leading to the seat before her; a throne made of winding vines and bright flowers.
A guard rushed along, reaching The Guide suddenly and whispering to him. Nodding, he turned to Rosea. "My Queen. I am afraid I must depart for urgent matters. I do hope you find your castle accommodating."
"What Urgent matters?" Rosea questioned.
"Nothing you need concern yourself with, your majesty. I assure you." The Guide nodded; turning and following the guard out.
The Queen stared. What information could there be that she wouldn't be told. Confused, she glanced back at the throne. A strange sensation filled her, although she wasn't sure what it was.

At length the Prince slowly rose from his cross legged position in the crater. Eying over the lip of the craterhe looked about the forest as though for some hint of a direction. When none were forthcoming, he merely shrugged and walked out of the crater to meander amongst the flowers and into the trees. Sparks of latent electricity discharged off him and onto the odd flower, but aside from crisping them had little other effect.

Queen Embress
Fire Kingdom
Embress paced back and forth across the pool of lava but stopped as she heard the doors open once again. A creature walked threw the door and proceded towards her. His entire body was made of green and orange vines wrapped around each other to resemble a male human body except his legs ended in stumps and his hand had a more claw like appearance. His head was a flower shaped like a fireball with two yellow slits for eyes.
"You sent for me your highness?" The creature said stopping and kneeling before the queen.
"Yes Wild Fire." She said turning to him and walking forward. "I need you to do something for me." She added. "I need you to head to the nature kingdom and find my daughter."

Queen Rosea
Nature's Castle
Rosea stepped around the throne, not sure what to think about everything. She wasn't sure what to think at all. Everything was so new and sudden, and she didn't feel ready for any of it.
Reluctantly, the new Queen slowly say down, relaxing slightly. Rosea leaned back, letting her mind wander some.
The Guide
Nature Kingdom
Slowly, The Guide clopped through the trees, glancing side to side. How he saw with no eyes was a mystery, but it was undeniable that he could see. The air was warm and dry, crackling with an unmistakable smell of electricity.
"Sky Kingdom..." The creature grumbled; continuing onwards.

The Prince breathed out, the field before him bending away at the gust as though recoiling in fear. Seeming not to even notice the effect he had on the plants, the Prince flicked his fingers before him to restore circulation in the grey skinned limbs, his joints cracking and popping like a tesla coil. His gaze would constantly returned to the ceiling of tree limbs, sky blue eyes peering at the interlocking limbs, sunlight peeking through the breaks; the slight quirk of his lip conveyed a feeling of bemusement at the scene.

Queen Embress
Fire Kingdom
"And what shall I do when I find her?" Wild Fire asked.
"You are to be her new bodyguard until this trouble with the assassin has been cleared. There are some that might think this was our doing and I know Sulphuria will not return home so I'm sending you." Embress said. "Now go. Time is of the essence here." She added and Wild Fire stood and with one last bow turned and walked off.
Princess Sulphuria
Nature Kingdom
Princess Sulphuria is the future ruler of the fire Kindom. She resembles a young woman with fire red hair, blue eyes and orange skin but she lacks the glow that others of her kind posses from being so close to the elemental plane they call home. She wears a red silk dress with a circlet made of twisting black metal's holding a glowing ruby on her forehead.
Sulphuria walked around the Nature Kingdom's courtyard gazing at the plant's as a stone golem followed behind her. "Madam I believe you should introduce to the new queen." The golem said as he looked back at the castle.
"In time." She said in reply not taking her eyes of the flowers. "Nothing like this grows at the castle back home."
