oh the beautiful possibilities the Barracks will give people for RP :P, gona be so much fun
I really hope that it stays faithful to the Warcraft universe. If this movie does well, it could probably bring a lot more people in to check out WoW, and will basically consolidate WoW's foothold in pop culture as something that goes far beyond just being a simple online game that you can play with friends and others across the Internet.Sounds like it may be pulled off well, so fingers are definitely crossed. I'd hate to see this end poorly for Blizz, and it sounds like both parties making this movie aren't going to allow it to be too colossal of a failure (like pretty much every live action video game movie has been so far).
Really not sure what to think about this... then again, I just saw a trailer for Need For Speed. No way this could be that bad....Right?
Oh wow! This. Movie will be awesome!
waiting for the trailer, but well 2 years :S
A TV show would be interesting. I think now that CGI effects are becoming easier and cheaper to make, that creating azeroth for TV could be possible, think Once Upon a Time. Shows like game of thrones and OUAT are showing that fantasy can do well on TV.
If they actually get Chuck Norris in this film, I'm going to do a backflip. On a more serious note, very happy that they will have equal amounts horde and alliance, kind of bummed that the panel was so little to show.
I remember hearing "leaked" rumors a year or two about the Alliance-heavy script they had and I was pretty disappointed. Really glad they're trying to give Horde and Alliance equal focus for the actual movie.
Guess now is the time to play through the original Warcraft games!
Its nice to see one of my long lost blizzard fantasies take shape haha. I've been waiting on this one for some time. I was hoping a CG movie, I hope live actors don't kill it or make it cheesy. Either way I'm pumped. Thanks blizz :)
Commenting to win. :)
Definitely looking forward to this movie. Unlike others, I'm glad it isn't a full 'CG' movie since those don't really work out too well. From the sounds of it, this is more going to be a cross of LoTR/Hobbit meets Avatar meets GoT. To me that is important for the realness of it all and to allow movie goers to get immersed. My only question from the concept art is, why show it...when it is all mostly present day examples for one that is from well before it.
I think this could be awesome. I hope it doesn't turn into Prince of Persia. I also hope it expands player base again. Would love to see WoW reach 13 million subscribers again. I'm also glad that a lot of CGI and stuff are at a good enough level to pull something like this off.
If jones tries to please all the fans, no one will be happy. he just needs to find a way to tell a good story that stays true to the spirit of the warcraft universe.
Sweeeeeet! A WOW MOVIE! I'm totally in for that!
I just want to be an extra, if only to stand in these epic game locations come to life.
I am not as pro as some, those who began in Vanilla for instance, but I met my husband on this game long before in real life. I started in the middle of Wrath, and though I made rookie mistakes I took what I saw him and others doing to heart and made sure not to stand in fire and keep an eye on my hunter/locks pets lol. I told him a year after I started that y'all would make a movie and I would be primed and ready, but he said it was something like "Duke Nukem" making the long promised game (which has also since come out), but now I can smugly say I was right lol. As far as this new xpac, I can't wait. I have gotten nine toons to ninety, and am itching to run them thru the new content. The new story, garrisons, and over all combining of ideas sounds awesome. Keep it up Blizz n.n
This is something I am completely and utterly excited for. I can not wait for this movie to come. I'll probably be one of the first to buy a ticket to see it! Though, I do wonder if it'll just be a movie release or would it make it to theaters? xD That'd be pretty awesome, sitting down with a bucket of popcorn to see it. :D I'm also really happy to see it's going to be live action! Will there be Elves? :3
