One of my best real-life friends introduced me to my current Guild, and I feel much more enriched after two expansions with them. There, I feel that I've made some real friends and connected with people on a higher level than "I tank for him/her". Even without World of Warcraft, I know that we can band together to smack NPCs of any game and genre, no matter what. Our motto, "I regret nothing," transcends our game-ties and binds us as brothers- and sisters- in arms.
i have a great friendship with some people from my guild , we were speaking and joking in ventrilo while we were raiding so we decided to meet.It was great day with lot of fun , i love them.
I met my friend about 2 years ago when I joined his guild to raid pre mists. We cleared out dragon soul together and didn't speak much and then mists launched and the guild fell apart and I switched to a guild that was progressing through MSV at the time and shortly later my friend came along as well feeling the itch to raid. We got talking then being the 2 outcasts from the other guild and became great friends. Sadly the guild we moved to later fell apart and we joined another raiding guild together. Now my day isn't complete without getting to speak to my swedish friend on skype (:

I would use Catfish to meet someone from WoW, but I already met who I wanted to and married her.
I met one of my best friends on WoW when I started playing back in 2005. We still talk, text and Skype on a daily basis, I still haven't met him in real life though.
I met many people through WoW. My best friends are the ones I met online. I have been playing with many of them since Vanilla. We have instanced, traveled, and had some of the best times of my life in WoW. There was nothing quite like defeating Illidan with 24 of your closest friends.
About 2 years ago, I'd gotten accepted into a guild that was interested in forming a raid group. Being the new guy, everyone came down hard on me for making mistakes and not knowing 100% of all fights. As time went by, I started climbing up the DPS meters and became one of the High Officers of the guild. I made a handful of friends who I could talk to about our real life issues and whom I could count on for emotional support. We've all gone our own way now, but I'll never forget them :,)
I've made a lot of friends in my new guild, TTGF, and have even met up with them at BlizzCon. One lives near by, and when he had to cancel his BlizzCon trip at the last second (his wife was going into labor), I collected a goodie bag and dropped it off at his house.
When I started gaming WoW there was this dude that boosted me from 20 all the way to like 55. He was called Jonsson on the Stormscale server, I've checked armory and he hasn't played on that character since TBC. I just want to personally thank the dude for actually putting up with a young kid who had far too many questions and didn't know &*!@, maybe even write him a check or something since I'm pretty sure that he's the reason I'm still playing WoW to this day!Not a romantic story, just a story about a great man.If you by any chance read this Jonsson I'm ever in your favorCaan on Stormscale
Some years ago, i met one of my best e-friends i have ever had! he still plays with me a lot of video games, including WoW! and he's also one of the best dj's i have ever heard for me :D! since i come from Guatemala and he's from New York! we have been buddies for almost 5 years or something :)!.And i enjoy playing with him! not only because he's freaking good and freaking awesome :D! i know it would be funny if i could meet him irl! but then again :D! one day it will be ^_______________^
I totally signed me and my friend up. mwuahaha. Technically, I met my husband on wow.I'll elaborate. When I was 20, I married an abusive @#$%^&*. One of the things he did, was get a copy of wow. Well, he decided he hated the game, but he made me play it and level his characters. I met all kinds of cool people, but it never lasted that long. When my first husband tried to kill me by breaking my spine with a truck in 2007, I was stuck in a chair. Most people didn't believe me and accused me of making it up for sympathy. 4 vertebrea were badly cracked, and one had turned to complete powder. The doctors were amazed that I had any feeling in my legs at all. My sternum was crushed, my ribs came apart... I was in surgery 6 hours, the hospital 5 days, could not walk at all for a week, in bed for 2 weeks, on a walker and back brace for 6 months. My doctors called me a miracle. Well, two people didn't give up on me. First there was Shry, who I had a cursh on, but he missed the signals, then he had a crush on me, but I missed the signals. We wound up becoming friends instead. Then there was qumquat, who asked me all sorts of questions about my ordeal. We became very close, and hcame down to meet me during a horrible event in my family. He was there for me and for my family. I eventually moved out to Cali with him. We Eventually got married and now have a 4 yr old. His family has taken me in and adopted me. All this time, Shry has been my best friend. No matter where I go, or what I have going on, he's there for me, to the best of his ability. We tell each other more than is probably logical. Somedays, I don't know what I'd do without him.
I met my manager on WoW and he and i have been good friends ever since
I met a lot of great people on wow, most have either quit playing or had children, but still had a lot of good times!
Been playing since 2005 off and on since2005, I met a friend that I started to level with and she joined a guild, in about 2007 I joined that guild and have been in it ever since. We're not the biggest baddest guild around but we keep each other having fun and one way or another, it's the only reason I return.
Out of the many people I've met in-game, one continues to stand out. It's a family that plays together, and who live halfway across the country (not to mention the extreme opposite side of the Mason-Dixon). They joined us early on in our raiding and were an absolute joy to play with. Within a year I had taken a week off work to fly out and visit them. Best vacation I've had in a long time.
During the Burning Crusade expansion I started doing 2v2 arenas as a Shadow Priest & Enhancement Shaman, super burst damage, just for fun. Under adverse conditions, two strangers became companions, friends, lovers. While my spouse and I share a lot, we no longer PvP together since we want to remain together for another 10+ years.
Long time ago, I met a boy ( at the beginning of WOW) we played each day together for many years, he married me in the game with a big ceremonie ( it was nice lol ) he wanted me to go to paris ( where he lived ) but I was too affraid to leave my country and family. so he come here one time to meet me . Its was a nice experience =D. Now he's a good buddy and we speak sometime together with TS and facebook( He left wow). And I think the best way to meet wow players its to do some Guild meeting out the game =D ( I do it 3-4 per years)
Many of my friends through wow have come and gone, that's the downside of playing since 2007. But there are 2 people who I've been able to keep a relationship with for a couple years. One was my old guild master and the other just a random girl we picked up for an ICC pug (who'd of thought). While I've never met either of them in real life, they've both helped me get through some hard times in my life.
i actually met my girlfriend over wow.she doesnt play anymore so that makes me sad but good times we had. wondeerful moments, raiding farming for mounts etc.
