Frostwolf Camp
As they entered the deep stone keep the orc's corded muscles tightened beneath his burden, the enclosed space clearly unsettling him. Wandering through halls of black stone filled with torches that sweltered and smoked in the darkness, he carted the worgen about seemingly at random before locating and traveling down some rough stairs into the dungeon.
Cells they may have been, but in reality they were merely cages assembles and bolted to the stone along the walls, their thick metal smouldering in the light of a torch as though they were hot to the touch. Shadows skulked everywhere and the glittering eyes of vermin watched the party descend. The room resembled more a kennel than proper prison, an irony the orc seemed unaware of as he carried the worgen towards an empty cage.

Nythias groaned "What, really? A kennel? I'm not a... oh wait I am... dammit"
She tried to get away but was still numb from the poisoned arrow earlier and couldn't even wriggle of the Orcs shoulder

Not ungently, the orc stuffed the worgen into one of the barred cages, pushing the door closed with a clang.
"Watch her," he instructed the dark ranger, already moving towards the stairs again. "I need to find a key to lock her in."

"Like...what."
Silas shook his head in disbelief and confusion at the events unfolding. Then he hurried after Dirk with little effort thanks to his longer legs.

Hallus Snowdrift, Dirk Fallden
Location:
Icewing Pass
Hallus led the group to a smokeless fire built into the lee of a hill, hidden beneath snow blanketed stones that broke the icy edge of the wind and formed a looming overhanging. Earth hardened by permafrost was laid bare here, surrounded by an encroaching ring of snow that lurked just beyond the warmth and security of the crackling flames.
Dirk bustled towards the fire much as he had done in the bunker at Dun Baldar. Hallus left him to it, moving past several supply packs and firewood left near the hill, she slipped back into the frosted night without a sound. The sound of digging came from nearby and she shortly thereafter returned with several strips of ram meat, hard and frozen from being hidden beneath the snow.
She tossed the red, raw meat at Silas.
"Cook it if you want," she informed the party generally, already moving back towards the supply packs. "The wolves would find it eventually otherwise."

Silas caught the meat between a mitten and a glove and gave it an experimental bite. It was harder than a ship's biscuit and colder than an ice cube.
"Yep, will cook," he informed and moved towards the fire. "Hey Dirk...what is it that attracts all these people? And will it work on the orcs? I don't want it to work on the orcs. That'd be inconvenient. Want a bite?"
He held out a meat popsicle for the other sane human to grill over the fire. "It's
ram
. Delicacy around these parts."

Dirk grinned back, his good mood restored and showing in his amiable features dancing in the firelight. "Is it now? Well! I'll have to try it then."
Hallus left them to their banter. Rolling open one of the supply packs she fetched forth a heavy blanket and a tanned hide for her to lie on.

When one side of the meat finally thawed a little above the embers, Silas stuck it to his knife and continued to cook it. All in all, things could be worse, he thought.
"So, how did you and--uhm--the lady..band together?"

A shadow of distaste passed over Dirk's face at the mention of their company before he managed to mask it. "I was sent out to find her," he explained grimly, the set of his jaw explaining just how much he had appreciated the task. He shrugged expressively. "Orders are orders. She knows these mountains well, apparently. Better than most. So, they figured if anyone could find their way into Frostwolf territory short of being preceded by an army, it's her."
Dirk let a glance linger on the red eyed blood elf, choosing his words carefully. She, however, seemed to care little that the discussion was about her, merely going about the regimented buisness of unrolling her blanket.

"That they are," Silas concluded knowingly about the orders. He understood the sentiment and decided not to ask any further. Instead he took a hesitant bite on the meat.
A string of badly enunciated curses was the result as he burned his tongue.

Laughing uproariously at his companions agony Dirk quickly quieted as his cries echoed hollowly into the empty night giving him a slightly disquieting feeling. Still chuckling he fetched from within his jacket a flask of mulled wine and passed it over. "Here. Not too much," he hastened to add. "That's not easy to come by out here."

Silas received the flask thankfully and spat out the mouthful of snow he had promptly shoved into his aching mouth to relieve the pain. Lifting it in a silent cheer he took a humble swig, replaced the cork and passed it back, the grateful smile on his lips morphing into a satisfied, mirthful grin.
He tried to say something in his defense, but no adequate words came to mind. He just shook his head and stared at the other.
This mission was definitely worth surviving for a while longer.

Grinning back Dirk lowered himself on cold stiffned joints to a sitting position before the fire. He pulled off his gloves and set them to dry, and with a groan stretched his arms high before the flames. He cast a long shadow, one that was swallowed by the darkness lurking beyond the camp.

Silas chuckled quietly. He unstrapped the pack he wore from his back and let it fall to the ground before kneeling in front of it, unfastening the bulky bedroll and loosening the leather strap holding it together. He unfurled it along the ground near the fire and sat down near the foot end, picking up his now cold piece of meat.
"Seriously, though," he said and stared at the previously scorching food before making another attempt at eating. "I'm thinking of letting the freaks keep watch all night. Would be nice to sleep until morning for once..."

Gurad the Merciless
Stonehearth Bunker
It was night. The best time to attack. "On my mark," whispered Gurad to the party of about 30 Horde soldiers, huddled in a tight-knit group. "Now." Gurad said quietly - as he led the war party silently across the snow near Stonehearth Bunker when a human archer in the bunker spotted them.
"Horde! Horde!" yelled the human - as the bored guards immediately leapt into action and began raining volleys of arrows on the party.
Gurad roared savagely as he and others began sprinting into the bunker - "Kill them all!" Gurad yelled as chaos ensued the bunker.

Dirk snorted. "Why not just bare your throat for their blades now rather than wait until you're asleep?" He gestured towards the ram meat. "Mind passing me a piece?"

He handed Dirk a generous half of the stringy meat and stared into the struggling flames, then tore off a smaller piece and passed it to the snake-dude. "You're probably right. I'm pretty twitchy though..."
There was a sound of a pistol hammer being pulled back.
"...and I'm pretty confident I could get 'em before anything happens. Anyway, I can take the first watch."
