I believe that Bloodbath will only make it easier to keep mobs off the healers, but nothing else. Both instant and bleed dmg is a joke, tooltip doesn't say anything about it scaling. And on top of that targets are completly random - so in my opinion it's only slightly improved Thunder Clap (when it comes to multi-mob tanking).

Is there a way to calculate how much Defense we need to become uncrushable at level 80 (and so on)?
No, because defense has nothing to do with crushing blows as long as you have trained to the maximum allowed for your level (5 times your level, eg. 350 at level 70). Also, many things point to crushing blows being removed in WotLK.
Defense does reduce the crit chance against you though. Most likely it will take 540 defense to make you immune to level ?? bosses at level 80. This would follow naturally from the 440 and 490 defense targets at level 60 and 70 respectively.

There is a formula for each level between 60 & 70, but it is impractical to calculate this much on something so trivial. Regular dungeons, the only thing available in 61-69 content, are specifically meant to be "easier" than end-game simply because one is leveling, not gearing up & respecing for an hour & a half.

earlier this month i found an intervene macro in this thread that you could use on a mob as well as a party member that worked wonders for me, but i had to reinstall WoW on my computer and all my macros are gone. I cant seem to find it in the earlier pages of this post, could you link it again please?Afaik Intervene was fixed to automatically use the target of your target when applicable, the macro is no longer needed.

Yes - if You target someone from your raid you will intervene him, if you target mob you intervene mob's target - without macro.

As a new 70 tank on my server, i would like to give a special thanks to Yakra for building this awesome guild, it gave me alot of crucial info i needed and whenever i had a question about anything tanking-wise i found myself always referring to it. I called the "tanking bible" cause It gave the inspiration to make a tank. I hope this guide continues to inform others...

- The parry hard cap has been recently found. It's safe to assume that 55 is the hard cap on expertise (5k attacks at 54 with a few parries, 10 attacks at 55 with 0). Maybe some bosses' parry rates are lower, maybe some are higher, but this is probably a nice piece of info to put in.
Unfortunately that testing is fatally flawed. He only tested on Mandokir in ZG. Blizzard have stated that they use boss parry chance to tune the difficulty of encounters, so you cannot assume bosses have the same parry chance, especially not the same as a boss from a pre-TBC raid.
Of course, the 13.75% parry could be the cap for *most* bosses, depending on how much Blizzard likes to change parry chance to tune difficulty.

Yes, indeed. Blizzard does use parry to tune certain encounters/bosses, they stated this a long time ago.
