Hey all,
It's come to our attention recently that the WoWEden domain is impersonating Wowhead in some search results, and unfortunately showing up pretty high in page rankings. These search results say they are from Wowhead in the title and mirror the page descriptions, but take you to a totally random URL - some of which set off security alerts.
We have been reporting the URLs and notified Blizzard Customer Service in case they get 'Wowhead is hacked' reports. We wanted to let you all know that some bad entities are trying to take advantage of our community and good name - please be careful when clicking on Google links and if possible use our own search box from within the site so you are not exposed to potentially misleading search results (example:

).
Thanks and we hope to have the issue resolved shortly.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##This, for the most part, has been resolved. Thank you everyone for any efforts you put towards getting them removed from search engines!

This is still happening as of now, I just google searched for a trinket and noticed instead of Wowhead it showed "WoWEden". The trinket was Wriggling Sinew. Wowhead didn't show on the search results at all.

As an update on this, we're continuing to report them as
phishing links
and trying to get directly in touch with Google and pursue Legal help.
If anyone would like to help report,
here is the link
to mark them as phishing.

As another update: WoW Eden is now removed. Unfortunately, the Wowhead pages that were targeted by WoW Eden do not show up in search results, our former #1 rank is gone. This does not affect all pages fortunately, but things like Calamity's Edge, some class mount previews, and Cube of Malice are gone to name just a few examples.
We are taking steps to rebuild our SEO but it's frustrating that Wowhead was maliciously targeted, and even after the threat was removed, there's damage done which has to be repaired.

Is this woweden issue the reason that I can't enter wowhead throught the .com domain?
It says that it's in maintenance, although if I enter with a wowhead.com/news it goes fine.

You need to clear your browser cache. You seem to have a stale version of the homepage. Definitely not Woweden related.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##
