well i guess Blizzard should change a name for it to a "Don't recruit a Friend"
Glad to see Blizzard is really trying to finally kill the game off.
So now there's no benefit to the Recruiter for levelling with your RAF, since XP rewards are capped at 50%? Seems like a really stupid change.
why do blizzard hate alts? i've done the quests, dgs, and all this over and over again. i already enjoyed it. now i just want my alts at max level quick :(
Nooooooooo. Just no. Blizz, come on.
Newcomers will have the level boost that comes with the xpac anyway, so the xp buff is pointless. Also, the level granting is still on.People is jumping the guns way too fast.Plus, the RAF is meant as a mean of reaching to more people and grab more subs, not to have people abuse it for power leveling alts. Why would Blizzard have in mind people who uses the tools for stuff completely different to what they were meant for?
Once again Blizzard is telling its subscribers how to have fun. When players are interested in the story, they'll seek it out regardless of their level. However when you force someone to slow down and play at a pace dictated by the shady explanation of 'Go experience the story line.' then things will get ugly in a hurry.Announcements like this one make it extremely easy to imagine a group of executives sitting around an opulent boardroom brainstorming ideas of how to sell more character boosts with no regard to any impact their "quest" for money might have. Certainly they are a private company and are entitled to earn a profit. Just remember to keep saying that when the Recruit-A-Friend numbers reach the same level of approval as 'Warlords'.
I don't actually have a problem with this. People who are actually starting out new need more time to learn their class and enjoy the ride before they hit max and get into the endless grind of end game. And this will keep the system from being abused by people just speed levelling their own characters--which frankly, seemed a little too close to being an exploit to me.
Blizzard are out of their mind! If they want people to level slowly why the hell don't the release classic servers FASTER? It's pointless for 95% of the players in the current game!
I have used RaF during pre-patch invasion 15 toons to 100 in 2 weeks to skip all the crap I done already. When broken isle invasion & 110 heirlooms that also how I level my alt. I don't feel like getting immersed in the same old contents 15 time just not going to happen. I don't use boost I think that even more pointless you never learned how to play the toons vs how to semi play the toons during RaF leveling.
and people still doubt they're trying to force either longer times for more subscriptions or boost sales...
I feel like all of this is to protect easy acquisition of heritage armor?I mean really, it's a lot of work for a set of armor as it was before the changes and this probably discourages people from using recruit-a-friend, which is a good system?I think giving the mobs extra HP was enough, honestly.
I have never used RAF and probably never would have, so this is an outside opinion I guess. But it does seem in-line with the other changes they have made as of late. Either way, I'm sorry for those who have used RAF and intended on using it again. I think the game will be fine though. These are just growing pains.
april fools came early today!
I really don't get what's all the fuss about? You guys cry like you take 10 RAF's weekly? Most of you never used RAF or never will.I'm indifferent towards this change. Doesn't touch me at all + they also need to make some cash of "Power level" boost. I guess, we'll be able to buy char boost to 110 for 50-60e. Easy profit.
That's totally BS. What's the reason of having RAF then? I am getting a new player into WoW, that should be enough for you Blizzard
