I've finished watching the final episode of
School Days
... I'll never be the same again, after watching that anime...
Nice boat.

I'm really liking Kuroshitsuji. I highly recommend it if you're into a good shounen (/w eye patches. :D). Has anyone else seen it before?

If I recall correctly, I've watched a few episodes (I think it was 3-4 episodes), in the past. Not sure why I haven't watched them all, though.
Oh well. I'm going to watch all of the episodes, starting with the first episode (just to refresh my memory), since I couldn't decide which anime to watch.
Right on. :D

Well, I'm not necessarily an 'anime fan.' I've enjoyed a few, but I dismiss a lot of them.
Anywho, I decided to read the 'Shaman King' manga to see if it's any good. I'm at about chapter 10 or so. I've found it pretty average, and I'm losing interest. For those who have read the series, does it pick back up and become more interesting later on, or am I just wasting my time here?

It's an excellent read, and it is slow at first heh; but once you get to the start of the Shaman Fights, it picks up.

Any others agreeing with Adams will increase the chances of me sticking with it. :P

Wow! This is just what I needed, I've been thinking about really expanding my repertoire of Anime lately, and this is perfect. It's really been too long since I grabbed a new series, and I wanted to check out some lesser known ones in the process.
Up to now, my viewing has been relatively mainstream, admittedly, but I'm working on that. The usual Bleach, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, One Piece.
And, I don't care what anyone says. Regardless of how many "better" anime come along -- Dragonball/Z will
always
be my number, even if it's just for nostalgia. My next obsession down from anime is martial arts films of all types, and there's a special spot in me for those cheesy, but awesome classic films, as well as any modern films that harken to that style. For me, DBZ simply fills both of those roles, hence why it'll always be up there for me.

If you enjoy graphic violence, with "Middle Ages flavor", then I recommend Claymore. It's a very good anime, although I've never read any of the manga yet.
I really liked Claymore. I have to admit I did not like the art style when I first started watching it but it kinda grew on me. I'd read the manga but I heard it was heading in a wrong direction or something. I kind of want Claymore season 2 though... what a cliffhanger it leaves you on. :(

Heh, not 'knights' exactly, but Ninja Scroll and Basilisk are good Edo-era animes; of course, Ninja Scroll has the 7 Demons, and Basilisk has some over the top ninja stuff. I'd suggest Seven Samurai as well... but that's Steam-Punk meets the movie of the same name; not horrible, but different.

I actually really enjoyed Samurai Seven. (Yeah, the technically name was reversed to differentiate it, that wasn't a typo =P)
It's been a while since I watched it, but I do recall it being really evocative, and the Steampunk setting has a "wtf" but interesting contribution to the series. Plus, it's not super long, so it's easy enough to grab and watch.
