www.wowhead.com

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251" />
How to use your scripts in the forums with the Russian character set?
I very much would like to use your scripts in the forum vBulletin, but what is produced as a result, does not work for me: (

The work of the script can be found

Has anyone figured out how to implement this with Joomla?
No, in any CMS. A Russian encoding <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251" /> almost all scripts, including Joomla, vBulletin, etc.

Hi there,
is there any possibility to "combine" custom <hrefs>
and
localized tooltips?
Right now it seems that you can either use custom links via "rel="item=xx" or localized tooltips using "href="de.wow…".
I'm currently writing a script for my guild's site and it would really be nice if there was a way to combine these two functions, so I can use my custom links but alswo the localized tooltip…
Hope someone can help

after i add bbcode in post on forum 21275
item looks like
i see item tooltips, but don`t see item name, maybe some one know what to do?
i find another way:
url=
http://ru.wowhead.com/?item=40525
url=
http://ru.wowhead.com/?item=40525

For people who use scripts in the forums with the Russian character set.

Got this working for PHPBB3 forums 3.0.4 version.
Well after alot of searching follow these instructions exactly and also wowload phpBB_wowhead_mod.zip from
http://bucketguild.com/phpbb2/mods/
Then, unzip and copy the whole wow/ directory to the root directory of your phpBB install.
Next, for every template you want this to work with you have to edit the overall_header.html file and add the following lines right before the </head> tag...
<script src="
http://www.wowhead.com/widgets/power.js"></script><script
src="wow/jquery-1.2.1.js"></script><script src="wow/wowhead_linker.js"></script>Finally, you need to add the following BBCode entry in the admin area:
BBCode: {TEXT}HTML equivilent: <a href="wow/wowhead_wrapper.php?item={TEXT}" class="wowhead">{TEXT}</a>I've only tested this with phpBB3, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with version 2 as well. If you come across any problems, I'll be glad to try and work them out.
To see a working demo, click here.
Thanks and happy WoWing!
All will work a treat and ive cribbed the posts from other users which culminates in a working version for PBPBB3. Hope you dont mind :)

Hi all,
Thanks for the work and all the helpful posts. Tooltip is working, but the colouring is not. My page is a phpbb2 plus 1.53 and I followed the steps for phpbb as described from Kalroth, but the STEP 2 & 3 (bbcode) does not seem to have any effect. Does anyone have an idea how to fix that?

Hello Pirates!
We have a website PHP-Fusion. Is there any guidance on how to get this thing to this type of site?
Thank you for your advice!

Just got it working on my b2evolution-based blog. Only had to add the script to the index.php file, right at the top before the "<?php" line. Works like a charm. It's so nice to have my own tooltips!

I think I fixed it!
I opened functions.php and put @ in front of the four lines:
@header('Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8');
@header('Cache-Control: private, no-cache="set-cookie"');
@header('Expires: 0');
@header('Pragma: no-cache');

Since yesterday my tooltips seem to be broken… at least as long as i use the customized (with onmouseover="$WowheadPower…" etc.), the "originals" using the href="wowhead?item" still work…
i also get this error out of my webdeveloper-plugin:
TypeError: Result of expression 'W' is not an object.
Anybody help please? I'm really stuck here :((((

Using Arador's script here:
http://wowhead-tooltips.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
It seems that item names with apostrophes do not work in Firefox 3. An example:
