Dungeons make me sad

I'm a beginner and I think I have managed reasonably well...except with one thing...dungeons!
1. It is often hell trying to find a group
2. Once you do find a group the chances that the group gets disbanded before the dungeon is finished is like 95%. People just leave after 20 minutes because they need to eat dinner, or go to school/work or whatever. I think that if you don't have two hours to spare you shouldn't join LFG at all
3. The quests. I often have lots of quests to do when in a dungeon, but practically EVERY single time I join a group I don't get a chance to do my quests. All people are interested in is killing the various "bosses". How on earth do I finish my quests? I'm at level 58 now and I don't think I have EVER managed to get all my quests finished when doing a dungeon. The other group members will just not wait for you if you need to pick up an item or whatever it is the quest requires.
So my question is. How do I manage dungeons?

The problem with finding a group for it, really depends on which dungeon it is. Since you are 58, then most people will go to Outland and don't care about the pre-tbc instances anymore.

If you're 58 I suggest forgetting about all those dungeon quests. Either move straight to Outland or do the quests you can solo.

It sounds to me like the problem is not the dungeons but the behavior of the people you are grouping with. Have you considered trying to find a guild of players with an approach to the game similar to yours who might actually plan a dungeon run in advance, not waste your time getting ready or filling the group, and be willing to make sure you can actually get the quest done?

Thanks for all the advice. I'd love to find a decent guild but as with groups it can be like finding a needle in a haystack. You're damn lucky if you find a good guild. Also I guess my confidence is a little now since I'm new to wow and not as good as many other people, I sometimes wonder what I'll be able to contribute with in a guild. And I guess I let people run over me a bit when grouping. I think first of all I need to toughen up a bit. It's not always easy being a female playing a mostly dominatingly male game.
How do I get to outlands? Is it via a quest? Do I need to get an additional game?

You need to have purchased the Burning Crusade expansion at which point you can walk through the dark portal in the Blasted Lands (the extreme south east zone in eastern kingdoms) to reach Outland.
Sorry I can't help you find a guild but the odds are against us playing on the same server or faction.

Join a guild, run whatever people want and when you need to run something ask them to help you out works well. I rarely use LFG ever because you get a large amount of amga nubs =\

I got lucky and found a great guild at level 42 on my main, all you have to do is ask people about their guilds and what they think about em and such, and ppl are usually honest and will say either its great or ok or eh etc. When you find ppl happy about where theyre at ask em for an invite.
