You shouldn't have problems as long as people pay attention to the fight. You STILL need to pay attention to when he's "watching" you, cause if you do something Mandokir will not hesitate to charge you and hit you for 10k+ (sometimes high enough to one-shot most non-tank classes). It's an easy encounter it's just not necessarily one of the ones you can simply zerg and take for granted your level advantage. You should be fine - I've done it with 4 geared 70s at best, and I typically do Thekal with 3 70s.

Database here says the expected drop rate is 1.1% using a sample of 3480 it dropped 38 times. Pre-BC we cleared ZG every time the instance reset for more than 6 months. The raptor dropped once. Won on an open roll by a rogue who was there his first time... Heh gotta love it

Bloodlord Mandokir can be 2-manned, allbeit slowly. Tried him and Gahz'ranka (Fish boss, drops poly: turtle tome) with a tank friend (Kara/t5 geared holy pally and prot warrior).
I suggest you take a fisherman(or woman) with you, the polymorph tome usually fetches a few thousand gold, nice bonus/consolation prize if the mount does/n't drop :)
Eaither way, if you try to 2man it - don't. Take a dps or two, took roughly 30mins for Bloodlord and 10-15 for Gahz'ranka with just the damage of a prot warrior and holy paladin. I recommend a shaman or priest to help reduce the chance of a fear screwing you over.
