Unless you play on a pvp server, then it doesnt matter what faction your 55+ characters are on, you can create your deathknight on either faction.

Regarding the factions, Death Knights start friendly to the Scourge, right ? When they are done with their quests they rebel and betray the Lich King and join Horde/Alliance. Then the Scourge becomes hostile ? How does it work because I am confused. IF DK's start friendly with the Scourge and hostile with Argent Dawn they should be hostile to both Alliance and Horde. For the time when they are still under the Lich Kings control they shouldn't be able to chat with members of the both rival factions(Horde and Alliance).
To make it short, Death Knight's belong to Horde or Alliance since they are created or only after they rebel against the Lich King ?
death knights start outside of both factions. You cant chat with alliance or horde as far as I know (but I havent really tested it).
The deathknight starting zone, however, is instanced and seperated from the 'real world'. There is no interaction with horde or alliance until you do the final quest in which you cut yourself off from the scourge.

Thanks. It seemed like the DK's start in their own 'faction' then join their own respective factions. I just wonder how Blizz intends to make Dwarf and Orc DK's work together while they are still in Ebon Hold... They will give a new Death-Knight only language that will be forgotten once they leave for Horde or Alliance ? :D
you dont really work with anyone when you start in ebon hold. It seems like there are multiple versions of the "instanced" plaguelands, and the world around you changes based on the quests you're doing.
Hard to explain, and I really dont know how blizzard managed to do it, but they've done an excellent job. As you wage 'war' against the scarlet crusade and argent dawn in the starting quests, the world alters - when you finish the quests against the initial farmlands and peasants, they dissapear and scourge NPC's take their place, inhabiting that area as if you've actually pushed back the opposing armies.

I get it, so there are multiple Plaguelands for each DK that will start and he is the only one in the world, that means no waiting for mobs to respawn because someone else killed them for their quest. That is a smart move by Blizzard. This will be very interesting to go through. Thanks for all the feedback visas.
not exactly, there are other players within each instanced version of the zone if they're on the same quests as you.
When I started my DK on the beta realms, there were about 10~ or so other people, on and off, in the same instance as me. One of them kept up with me on quests (created his char about the same time as i did) all the way to the end of the quest chain, so we were both helping each other out here and there for most of the chain.
There should be -less- problems with mob respawn times and such, however. You wont have every other DK doing the starting quests in the same instance as you.
