You should have no problem with threat in Kara, with so many undead mobs. You can use Exorcism to get a jump on threat.
Your gear looks solid. As you said you're waiting on more gear for enchants. But anything that's epic you can go ahead and enchant those. Your shield would do well with +18 stam.
I respec'd my pally to tank Kara a few times from the gear I got there(was the only other plate wearer and the tank had it all) while healing it.. Here's the spec I used. I'm a big fan of reckoning. Helps get those extra hits in for threat.

And I didnt grab Reckoning casue if a boss parries me I reset hit timer.
(not main tanking yet but it cost me almost 50g to respec at this point so I would like to avoid it for awhile.)
Good on you. Reckoning is a meh talent for tanks*. It requires that you take damage - and as your avoidance gets better Reckoning stops proccing.
*Reckoning is a meh talent for anyone outside of leveling, IMO. Holy has no use for it, Prot gets far less use out of it as they get better gear, and it's too far into Prot for Ret to take advantage of it. I wish they would just either replace it, change its mechanics so it's worth it for Prot, or move it to the Ret tree so they could use it.

That argument is weak.
Show me a tank that does not get hit?
You cant. There is not a single tank that has 100% avoidance. and i mean avoidance.. not block rating. (remember a bloced hit is still a hit... and can proc reckoning.)
As for the parry gib argument... well.. it isnt an issue.
Try being a warrior or druid who all they do is attack continuously.
The danger of parry gib is that you run out of charges on holy shield and become crushable. That can and does happen to warriors.. (druids are always crushable)
Paladins have 8 charges... so even if you do get parried... you wont run out of your shield charges.
Reckoning is a great talent.
The only problem I have is what can I give up to take it... Id recommend putting only 1 or 2 in it... you wil still proc it.. jsut not as much. And the spike in threat generation is nice.

What would you leave out to get reckoning?
-Improved Judgement gives you more controlled threat and versatility.
-Spell Warding gives you a total of 10% less magic damage taken (combined with Imp RF).
-1H weapon spec...I'm not even going to comment on why less than 5/5 is bad.
Everything else is a core tanking talent. Yes, I've heard several upper-end tanks (T6 or thereabouts) say that reckoning is great for boss fights, but I'm still not sold on the utility of anything that comes with a "chance-to" disclaimer attached.

Agreed. How do you think ally tanks stack SoV so fast? :D
It's awesome. though I only spend 1/5 talents in it
