Not very reliable.
I think they rate you based on the ilvl of the gear you wear , but im not totally sure.

The quality scale is not that reliable. The main part of it is the assessment of gems, enchants and where you are in terms of caps etc., and that part is quite reliable.

Like Sakurra says the item thingy is not very reliable. However the gems and enchant part is useful and this is what i use it for.
I find it can also be quite nice for comparing 2 ppl in same proportion of PvE to PvP gear

I use it mainly for enchants (now that I'm past the stage that I neededto be warned about any missing gems).
When auditing groups I judge on how far apart the players are from each other. e.g. if we're trying to do ZA, and I know I'm geared enough, and I've got 3 people above me, 4 people just a bit below me, 1 player at the very far left of the chart and one player in the middle of the heroic/za scale, I know that one is definitely going to be a liability, and that I have to check out the other one's gear.

This site is not reliable at all imho, it doesn't go by stats and its gear standards are way off, i've actually been in 3 guilds where this has completely ruined them by saying we're geared for this instance and the gm being to stubborn to realize that its not true after the 3rd week of nothing but wipes and ppl gquiting.... in otherwards a long while back when i used this it told me i had a 199.99 rating(.01) from T6, but omfg my stats weren't nearly there, as a druid tank i need 36k armor, over like 45% dodge and $%^& loads of stam but if i remember correctly i still had 2 blues, 28k armor, 33% dodge, and i don't even remember my stam back at that time
PS if u do use this(not that i recomend it) the red bar is a LOT more accurate as to where u are able to raid than the blue bar
if i ever used this site again it would be for gems/enchants but seeing as how emmerald.net tells u those for feral druids, shadowpanther.net does it for rogues, wowmb.net does it for locks, and maxdps does it for quite a few classes i don't think i will.

I think it's far more reliable on dps than on tanks, not sure about healers. At least that's the feeling I have after running my tanks and dps'ers through there.

I use it as a guide, where I can do better, if I can loose def gems on my tank fr stam, stuff like that. As a guide, it's ok, but I don't think it is the be all and end all, I stupidily introduced it to an old guild of mine, that was a mistake......

well you don't want to use it would be the first thing, but im guessing u still have cached data on and seeing as how no one has ever looked u up there is no cached data in the system, use a armory update
Site says my 8/8 T2 is pretty good for doing Kara.
further proof that this site doesn't work, when TBC came out it was made that T3 players could go into Kara without too many difficulties in it, while T2 would actually get upgrades from outland blues and even a few greens
