Thanks Toxx, Ironforge has one of my favorite tracks but my highest Alliance toon is 30 so I never really get to hear it... If there is a place to download the tracks (which are reused quite often, by the way) I'd love that but I haven't ever found one either.
By the way, Blackrock and Roll is clearly the best track from any Warcraft game. Ever. I still get chills....

Once you have a MPQ browser (WinMPQ for example) set it to filter mp3 files (*.mp3)
With a little basic computer understanding it should be quite easy.
Using the program from the link above, one of the few other good mpq browsers, follow the steps to grab some tunes:
Extract to it's own directory, some files will be created.
Start the program, obviously.
Leave the settings be, they're fine.
Open "<wow dir>\data\common.mpq" as read-only (checkbox at the bottom)'
Expand the "Sound" directory
Right-click "Music" directory and press "Extract"
Enter path to extract to, or leave it and move the files later.
Proceed with extracting. It might take a while.
There, all music files extracted.
You can the do the same with the "expansion" and "patch" mpq files.

The program you download is zipped. You know what that means, right?
Start the program, obviously.
Duh...
Leave the settings be, they're fine.
First time you start a configuration dialog should appear, just click okay
Open "<wow dir>\data\common.mpq" as read-only (checkbox at the bottom)'
Not as a listfile, but with standard "open" procedure. File/Open if you've got english windows.
