I assume you mean Potions or Elixirs.
Elixirs will make you better off for your own personal use since enhancement shamans don't need to rely on healing or mana potions as much (if you plan on going restoration though, you will use a lot of mana potions).
Potions are usually good for making money. Super healing potions are extremely easy to sell, and it's difficult to flood the market with healing/mana pots. It can be easy to flood the market with elixirs, slowing your income.
I'd personally choose elixirs since I find that to be more beneficial to my game play.

Strong favor of elixirs as Elixir spec can proc extra flasks when crafting those...

I agree with everything said by prior posters, but I think it should be highlighted that 'potion-speccing' Alchemists make a
lot
of gold.

to help you in what youre asking for, none of the specialties open up any recipes. they allow for certain items when made to create more than one of say a potion or flask etc. so if you were to use one over the other for your dps, elixirs are the way to go. Potions are good and useful but flasks and elixirs can add spell damage and the like, increasing dps.

the tool tip is "high level" which is generally anything requiring 275 or higher skill - so yes. Mongoose and Brute Strength elixirs can proc extras.
