The key thing with a raiding SV spec is
Expose Weakness as this basically buffs all dps for the whole raid.
As x0reaper0x rightly points out though, you need a high level of agi to make this spec viable. The general consensus is that you need your (untalented) agility to be over the 600 mark. This then gives you a solid base to build on with
Lightning Reflexes that should put you around the 700 mark unbuffed.
With 700 agi
Expose Weakness gives an additional 175AP to all raid members against your target (providing you crit).
To put that into perspective, Rank 4
Trueshot Aura gives 125AP to your party members only, and only within a specified range of you.
So you can see the obvious advantages.
On a side note, to get the same AP buff with
Expose Weakness as
Trueshot Aura you would only need 435 agi untalented. This would give you just over 500 after
Lightning Reflexes resulting in 125AP buff for the whole raid.
However 500agi does not provide you with enough crit chance to make this viable, hence the demand for higher agi before speccing PvE SV.
Hope this made sense :S

I have had a look at the SV talent tree and come up with something that should be passable as a
PvE SV spec.
It is based around the idea of getting a reasonable amount of crit chance from the talents while still maintaining dps for a useable raiding build.
The points in
trap talents are there to help with CC (for heroic runs mainly) and the points in the MM tree are there to get you to
Mortal Shots You can argue the toss between
Imp Hunters Mark and
Efficiency, but my guild always specified that all hunters should have 5/5 Imp Hunters Mark. I guess this was to keep the rogues at the top of the dps meter tho :P
You may want to put points into
Resourcefulness instead of
Thrill of the HuntBut that (like Imp HM vs Efficiency) is a matter of personal preference.
This is by no means a difinitive spec, but I hope it gives you a pretty solid idea of how to get to
Expose Weakness while still staying on the PvE side of the fence.
