Hey everyone, I would like to start getting into some professions;
1/ As a gnome I'm definitely going to start mining (Unless someone else has a better idea)
2/ And also enchanting (I'm a warlock if that makes a difference.)
I'm currently level 16, leveling decently, and have around 4 gold :) So could you please post some suggestions? Or some extreamly easy to follow guides for both,
I have put a bit of thought into these professions, I have just started playing WoW, getting to know things and stuff, but I thought;
Mining:
It can get you a little bit of money fast, or if you know the places (Thanks YouTube) you can get a good amount, now I was thinking that I mine during the lower levels, earn some money and spend it into leveling my Enchanting Skill, as my Enchanting Skill gets higher, I will be making more profit. So mining to me will just be a way to fund my Enchanting?
Is that a valid plan?
As I said I am extreamly new to the game and any suggestions would be ever so helpful,
Thanks tonnes :)
P.S If this is the wrong sub section, sorry, I'm new to the sight and I don't think I saw anything on professions sub forum.
Edit: What do ya know, there Is a profession forum?
/facepalm

Since you are new to the game there are two creeds (im way simplifying as there are a lot more) for professions. All gathering, or crafting set. If you do as Primar suggests, and take two gathering professions and properly sell the items you gather in the auction house to other players, you will have tons of money and be able to play around as you level. If you have crafting professions, you have access to different items and a little different gameplay as you have a job that will provide stuff for you.
My suggestion? As a warlock (i have one at 70) tailoring is something that will benefit you immensely at the end of the game. It's quite common to pair tailoring and enchanting (because yu get cloth for tailoring off of humanoids all the time and the stuff you make with tailoring gets you materials for enchanting) Enchanting is also useful, but you have to keep in mind that other people who are enchanters can enchant your gear just as well as you would be able to as an enchanter. the only real advantage of being an enchanter is the ability to enchant your rings (other characters cant enchant your rings) So take your time and play around with it, you dont have to stick with any profession through the entire game. Some people level to 70 with gathering professions and then change to what they want. upto you
