Primal Mooncloth Tailoring Before WOTLK

I have chosen Tailoring as my 1st profession. My main concern is to reach level 70 before the expansion releases. If I reach my goal before release I can work on some reputation or whatever.
So my current debate, is it worth making the Primal Mooncloth Set and the Whitemend Set before the release?
I keep thinking:
I can enter Northrend in greens, quest and gear up like I did with my other character for Burning Crusade.
Will the Mooncloth Set/Whitemend be worth wearing to quest in, or should I get DPS oriented gear?
Not really sure what I should do, any suggestions or comments ?

I say go for the mooncloth + whitemend, if you go to the wotlk.wowhead.com section and look at its post-expansion values, it makes for a great spelldamage set for grinding, and you probably won't replace it till at least 75/76.
We have at least 3 months to wait for the expansion, so I think it's still a good time to get that set together, before items start losing their value.

The only concern with the PMC + Whitemend sets is the pitiful amount of stamina they supply. Something any tailoring priest has to deal with in order to survive raid encounters atm (or so I keep being told by experienced priests/healers as I gather my sets together and try to make it up to 7k hp without gimping healing & regen). I'm sure with the changes to healing/spelldmg they will remain a great asset in terms of healing/spelldmg and regen, but they will still lack stamina. As we all saw in the BC release, the difference in stamina from Outlands gear compared to pre BC gear was
huge
. If blizz do the same again then I can see anyone wearing less that T5 gear (from a stamina perspective) getting a serious pasting from their 1st Northrend mob!

I'm assuming you chose tailoring specifically for the PMC set, in which case I'll assume you're going to spec Holy PVE. The Primal Mooncloth gear has a lot of +healing and mana regen for it's level, but it seriously lacks Stamina, which you will want a lot of once you hit Northrend.
I'm dropping Tailoring on my priest to pick up Inscription once the expansion drops.

Thank you all for the responses! =D
I am beginning to think that I may just PVP for some items at 70, like the staff or healing mace and a couple of pieces from the Honor Points gear, I didn't think about the lack of stamina with PM / WM sets. ... and if there is a conversion to Spellpower on all gear, I assume this will take place on current items in the game, and with the pvp gear in game at the moment, it probably won't be so bad as a starter set for Northrend?
I did see on mmo-champion.com today some nice updates on the upcoming tailoring items! I also posted a thread about those new items in the WOTLK forum.
