And yes, it does stack the damage too. One stack does the 180, 2 stacks does 360, 3 does 540, 4 does 720, and 5 does 900. This is my MH poison of choice, with OH being either Instant or Crip (depending on what scenario I'm in). Your SS/Hemo/whatever uses MH to do damge will cause this to proc, so while spamming SS to get your initial combo points for w/e finisher you favor (eviscerate, rupture, kindey, w/e) chances are you'll end up with a 3 stack or higher. The timer refresher is nice too, so its constantly doing damage and increasing each time. Another benefit, is anti-stealth for PvP vs Rogues pre-CoS... or pesky little dwarves with Stoneskin.
I find it funny doing a bg and running intoaa rogue using dual crip or crip + instant.... tho i wont be able to move fast with the crip proc (i have fleet footed, so im a bit more moblie than other players), unlike him, i can vanish and CS or Garrote him and begin my pwnage all over again.

Using deadly poison in pvp is probably the dumbest thing you could do.

How so? It keeps rogues out of stealth and too many ppl are having a battle royale for a gouge stun to last long anyway. I've has it finish off quite a few players in my bg days. When I'm not in a stituation that deadly is useful, i can easily take the 3 secs to change a poison. Hmmm.... mage at flag in AB? Lets to a mind numb and insant... Oh look a priest! Im feeling Mind Numb and Wound... Poisons can be applied in stealth, they're meant to be changed to match you're sitiuation. Any rogue who doesnt use poisons is either a noob or hasnt gotten the quest yet.

deadly poison has only a few very specific tactics in pvp. and the only ones I know are with Mut/Disc vs Arms/Resto and in duels.
edit: and it involves multiple offhands, not just changing to a diff poison...

I like deadly because it's more damage and is a DoT. Most of the PvP i do is bgs, and im not on one target long enough for anything else to be really useful. People tend to die rather quick due to many other pwn pwning at the same time. Now, for arena and duels, yeah... Totally diff story since your target tend to stay alive longer. And you can use poisons more specific to the fight. In bgs Deadly is a generic "i do damage to you" poison. Combined with crip its a generic setup.

meh... lol. your logic is flawed in some ways. you're probably thinking from the perspective of lowbie BGs, things change quickly at 70, shiv, for one.

true, but then again... im only lvl 62. no 70s as of yet, and when i do reach 70 my tactics will chance accordingly. and most of the ppl coming to this forum for advice generally are lowbies, and those who arent state it as so to avoid lowbie-geared advice. when i gain more experience in the 70 PvP playthings, then i'll be doing the "smart" things as you all do... but untill then, my "flawed logic" works.

You can assume that the context people post in are that of a lvl 70, unless stated otherwise. that's how it works here.
And you don't understand what "flawed logic" means.

well then enlighten me on the aspects of what poison is good for what. cuz what i've been doing has been working, but i'll take any chance to get better.

in arenas the most successful combo is wound MH and crip OH (and 2 other OHs with wound and mind numbing, if you have access to the weapons)

OH crip is a must in PvP, and with Shiv im thinking you should always keep it applied... Wep switcher addons are nice for cycling OHs, i have one from Titan Panel, so when i go do arena in 8 lvls, i'll be putting that to good use it seems.

In any form of pvp, wounding/crippling is a must. For raiding instant/deadly, for regular instancing deadly/deadly is fine for envenoming trash mobs. For leveling with combat instant/instant works good, but for mutilate you want debuffing poisons (not deadly).
