The last 3 points are to be put in either soul leach or imp searing pain if you want a 1.5 sec cast rather than a 2 sec cast nuke.
This build give me everything and oldschool lock could ever want
sl/sl, shadowburn, bane, ruin, conflag. and molten core should be proced all the time with 4 dots ticking.

Actually i have been playing the game since it came out, I have 5 70s and was lock officer of a guild while we were in the top 5 US horde progression guilds.
The goal of this is pvp and to allow damage and survivability though dots and sl/sl along with powerful nukes along with the ability to delivier high burst damage to finish off opponents before they cant counter and before healers can react. Firing off an incin, conflag, shadowburn will provide a ton of burst damage in a very short time.
PS no focus no goal and not specing deep enough into any one tree is exactly what some people told me when i said i was going SLSL when BC came out, before it was standard practice.

i just said that because he said i must be fresh to hit 70
To druaka I started out feeling that imp fear was total garbage too however think about having a pocket instant fear after a rogue comes out of CloS or how important landing a fear on a healer is in arena. Its not that i think its a great talent but it can be very useful in some important situations. Just my opinion that its more useful than fel conc considering once dots are down with this build you are nuking not draining.
as far as imp searing pain goes, it really is just a fun option. its a personal thing, i like having a fast cast with no bolt animation for players to track in pvp and this build give it a whopping 18% crit added from talents.
You would really not max out emberstorm? You said you wouldnt use searing pain so now you are going to have your incin take .1 sec longer to cast?
ps what juicyness do you speak of?

*munches popcorn*
*waits for OP to come up with more outrageous claims rather than actually explaining how he thinks he's going to "burst" without Shadow and Flame*
*wonders how someone who came up with SL/SL on his own could possibly forget to put points in Fel Concentration*

At this point its all theory craft. You could say the same hypothetical things about sl/sl such as "how do you expect to have you dots do damage if they can be dispelled without UA"
its an unconventional spec ill admit that.
I dont have fel conc because its not slsl
( its not a destro spec either)
The burst doesn't come from incin spam it comes from the one cast time spell followed by conflag/ shadowburn that is simply meant to finish off your opponent before he can get a heal or react to the damage.
And as for you nef I'm still waiting for you to explain to me why you think this spec is so bad. So far all you have said is that is has no focus or goal and if its so obvious it should be very easy to explain. Does this mean that you think that any tree without a 51 point talent isn't viable?

Thank you moes, that was criticism instead of the useless "this sucks" provided by nef. Criticism I can take, what nef gave was mindless and nonconstructive.
To anwser your question, locks name is Whisky, played for <gentlemens club> On Stormreaver and we trasfered to korgath. I no longer play for them due to the fact that I have a job and girlfriend now so i really only have time to pvp causally. I haven't checked their sight but i might still be up on some of our boss kill vids.
To moes,
I have never seen a tri-tree spec work either and this is the only one that seems at all viable.
The burst can come from other areas also. Back lash, nightfall, and even deathcoil. In fact the only instant that this build is missing is shadowfury.
As for the missing damage from shadow and flame I do agree with this as being an issue. I'm hoping the the added damage from siphon life and molten flame will help balance it out.
This is also why I was considering using imp searing pain. Not as powerful but it might make up for it somewhat due to its faster cast time to proc more aftermath and no bolt animation. (but i doubt it)
Another intangible that I really like about this build is having CoEx in a build that uses nukes. Something to help keep the melee off you while you cast can be a big help especially since it has been buffed from 30% to 50%.

I think would be better for pvp because of life draining abilitys mixed with thhe proc of faster cast time the shadow bolt reset the corruption dot and deal more damage. but thats just me

LookOut
Now with that said, I have never seen a Tri-tree hybrid work or work well enough to keep.
does that include pve? because for all I know, 7/43/11 is a viable spec for grouping/raiding (and is comprised of 3 trees, but you already figured that out right? :p)
